It’s been an up and down weather mix here lately, hasn’t it? Still managed to get Lucy worked. Got some kinks worked out. Grumpy old mare syndrome.
Taylor Sisk Training
I believe in low cost training and I'm negotiable with that. I've studied Chris Cox and Clinton Anderson. Your horse will go from unruly to respectful.
Never take your eye off of a horse. It doesn’t matter how well they’re trained or how old they are. I can say from personal experience before I got into training that a very well trained horse attacked me when I was younger. Horses aren’t animals to be afraid of, though. There has to be mutual respect.
Once I get this grass mowed, I'm doing a few refreshers with my dun mare Lucy. She's recently started a small buck. Easy to sit, but not how she was trained. She's got the case of grumpy old red head.
Will begin working with a beautiful 9 year old gelding soon. Pics and videos to come.
Trust your gut feeling, not your emotions :)
You just have to keep going on....it's very difficult to have someone else control your horse once you've trained it. It can be frustrating, but from a trainers perspective, YOU can show them and train the person.
Just smile guys. Remember the horse can sense your mood.
Remember guys! Pressure and release.
Open for new horses or ponies. ♥️
Never say you can’t do anything. You always can.
When in doubt, GROUND WORK.
More to come shortly.
