This past weekend we had 4 of our own complete the challenge “The Standard”. They rowed for 24 hours straight switching out every 20 min. Our Saturday class did a workout and tried to keep them company. Despite their aches, pains, and sore butts, they pushed through and are currently in 10th place overall.
Some may say we are crazy for doing things like this, others will envy the challenge. At the end of the day we are a community who is there for one another and will constantly try and push the limits mentally and physically. .harman .coleman.5 and Nicole we are so proud of you guys.
“Lazar is the best” Rest in peace ❤️
We recognize and celebrate the life of this woman right here on her birthday June 3rd. She walked into the gym back in January of 2019 with a purpose to get stronger from all the chemo she had been through. She showed up and put in the work over the next 4 years dragging her husband Mark with her. They both feel in love with the sport and became role models at the gym.
Although her time on earth was cut short, she made an impact on all of our lives here at CrossFit Memphis and we will never forget that.
She fought and battled cancer for years until it took her from us on April 17th 2023. We did a workout back in April to honor her life and will keep that tradition going each year.
