As more and more kids hit the transfer portal, coaches will begin to recruit older players who are less risk. Fewer scholarships will be available to incoming freshmen.
Apply to a few Juco's and get a few offers. Juco players can be drafted every year and not have to wait to 3 years like D1,

Signing early is good advertisement for the schools.
Make sure you pick a school for the right reasons. It has your major, right climate, right coach, know who else has committed and who is on the roster. Talk to the coach about realistic chances of playing as a Freshman. Lot of Power 5's bring in 20 Freshman and only keep 7-10. After Fall Ball a lot of kids are asked to transfer.
Athletes receive a one year renewable scholarship not a 4 year guaranteed scholarship.
Right School, Right Location, Right Coach and Right amount of playing Time.
Make sure you enjoy the college experience more to college than just baseball.

Looks like the Transfer portal is doing more harm than good. Lot of kids will not get offered another scholarship.
