The Dojo is temporarily closed. Private and semi-private self-defense sessions are available. Chow, the“SEKKJB”has privately run schools from Texas to Indiana.
The Southeastern Kenpo Karate Jujitsu Brotherhood was established in 1983. With a direct lineage from Hawaii and the teachings of Kenpo Masters James Mitose and William K.S. Southeastern Kenpo Karate Ju-Jitsu is a complete system of self defense. You will learn to defend yourself using a wide variety of effective techniques utilizing the“stand up”arts of Kenpo and“ground fighting”of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.
Beginning October 1, 2017 training in street effective self-defense will move out of the dojo. For the immediate future, private and semi-private training sessions will be offered to clients at a time and place convenient to them (home, place of business, church building, a local park or gym). Sessions will be for one hour or 90 minutes. Please contact Instructor Hughey at 901-268-1344.

It was nice being back in the dojo after being out of training for most of February and part of March due to my father's illness, then his death and funeral. Although my heart was not in it, we had a good night with grab arts and gun arts...even managed to get a bit creative with some arts. Be well, Be aware and Be ready!
As the New Year begins...I am sure many of you have set new goals! If you are looking to build self-awareness, self-confidence and learn how to defend yourself...I am looking for you! I am accepting new students now! But space is limited! I am also looking into starting a "junior program"...for kids ages 8 to 12.
