The Southern Heritage Classic continues to bring influential voices to Memphis.

HBCU GO President and Co-Founder Curtis Symonds will serve as the special guest speaker at the Classic Coaches Luncheon presented by FedEx on Friday, Sept. 11, ahead of the 37th Southern Heritage Classic.

A longtime television executive with leadership roles at ESPN and BET, Symonds has helped expand the national reach of HBCU athletics through HBCU GO, including securing landmark media rights agreements with the SWAC and CIAA.

The invitation-only luncheon will honor Alcorn State head coach Cedric Thomas and UAPB head coach Alonzo Hampton before the two programs meet on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

The 37th Southern Heritage Classic kicks off at 6 p.m. on Sept. 12 and will be streamed on HBCUGO.tv.
