"The people are the best part about PCA. From students to coworkers to the admin team, each person at PCA brings a unique and valuable perspective."
Creative. Supportive. Dedicated.
Meet Mr. Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is the chemistry teacher at PCAHS and the sponsor of Blue Krew, a school-wide pep club to encourage school pride and spirit. Most students would deem Mr. J their favorite teacher. One basketball player says, "Mr. Johnson has impacted me a lot. Really he hasn't just taught me, he has showed me how to care for others and put them before my needs to be a helping hand." Serving is just what Mr. Johnson does. You’ll see him at every basketball game, cheering on the Knights and staying late to help clean up the rented gym facility. Not to mention he has the top academic chemistry scores in the State of Tennessee. When asked who impacts him the most at PCA, he simply responds, "My students. I learn from them daily."

We already have $1 million committed, and we're trying to raise the final $200,000 by February 15th. We need your help. We need a place to call home.
Thank you to everyone who has donated already. Looking for other ways to help? Please share this and encourage others to support PCAHS scholar athletes.
"I love that I can talk to any teacher about problems that I have and they are all open-minded."
Energetic. Joy-Filled. Talented. Meet Rhaja.
Rhaja is a junior at PCAHS. This girl will make you smile no matter who you are, where you are, or what you are doing. She has city and state honors for her skills on the basketball court. She tore her ACL at the beginning of her junior season, yet is determined to come back better than ever. Her determination not only lies on the court, but in the classrooom as well. "I am forced to keep my grades up, because I know I have something to lose." Her desire to play sports has continually motivated her to be a respectful and proactive student at PCAHS. She needs a HOME gym for her recovered ACL and her senior year.

"I love how every staff member knows each student and parent personally. Every student and staff member seems so happy. My kids actually love going to school."
Dedicated. Hard-working. Persistent.
Meet Ms. James. She is the president of our athletic booster club. At the beginning of this year, she volunteered to start and run the booster club so every child in the school could have an opportunity to play sports. There is never a game she misses, an event she doesn't help plan, or a game when she doesn't help carpool student athletes. Ms. James is always, always, always willing to help. Both of her daughters go to PCAHS and she speaks of how it has impacted her oldest: "PCAHS has given my child (who started as a sixth grader) an amazing education. That education has been demonstrated through her outstanding test scores and high GPA." She believes not only in the athletic department, but the whole structure of the school. Her beliefs come from how her daughters have grown and performed as athletes and students.

"Sports have changed me. Playing sports at PCAHS means you are a leader at school. The school has higher expectations of you. Playing sports has motivated me to keep my grades and conduct high."
Hard-working. Young. Talented.
There is not a fan in the stands who doesn't yell for Daven to shoot his infamous 3-point shot. Daven is a sophomore at PCAHS and has an unbelievable amount of skill as an up-and-coming guard. Off the court, you will find Daven as one of the top student athletes in his class. He speaks of PCAHS as a true scholar. "I love the learning atmosphere and how much attention each student gets. The teachers really make sure the students understand what is being taught. The whole PCAHS staff pushes every student to greatness. PCAHS feels like we are one big family." The impact his teachers make on his during the day is reflected in the impact he makes on the court. Daven needs a HOME gym to grow in his skill as a young player and to keep the family feel of PCAHS alive.

"I love the community that we've built at PCAHS over the years. With this community, we've supported one another in a way that you don't normally see at other high schools."
Meet Makaila.
Determined. Passionate. Persistant. Makaila is small, but oh so incredibly mighty. She is the girls basketball team's point guard. She is strategic about her passes on the court and her leadership of her team off the court. This leadership is a result of overcoming several injuries, learning from past mistakes, and leading her younger siblings at home. She says, "Sports have impacted me in a way that has forced me to face and overcome multiple obstacles. Without sports, I wouldn't know the true definition of adversity." That adversity has been faced on the court, at home, and in the classroom. Makaila is a brilliant student, talented writer, and has the skills and desire to attend a prestigious university when she graduates. She is a junior and needs a HOME gym to lead and play in during her senior year.

We're trying to raise $200,000 by mid-February. We need your help. We need a place to call home.
"PCA has impacted me most through my child. They have afforded her an invaluable education that will carry on to college, where I know she will succeed."
Meet The McClains.
Faithful. Consistent. Servants. Every time the sound of the buzzer rings, you can thank one man: Mr. McClain. He has faithfully run our home clock for years, no matter where we end up playing our home games. At the exact same time, across the gym, his wife, Mrs. McClain, is selling concessions until the 4th quarter of the boys game, when she will rush out to go work her night shift. When speaking of PCAHS, Mrs. McClain, with her contagious laugh, adamantly states, "I love the staff and teachers at PCA. I believe they genuinely care for our students." That care she speaks of, it'ss the same care she and her husband portray multiple times a week in serving the community of PCAHS. They needs a HOME gym to be able to give back in even greater ways to PCAHS.

"Sports have not just made me a better athlete, but a better person. I have learned a lot from coaches and how to be a leader, young man and set examples wherever I go."
Meet Benny.
Bright. Hardworking. Grateful. Benny is one of the point guards on the boys basketball team at PCAHS. Last night, he led his team to an over forty point victory. He is constantly working hard to become not only a better athlete, but a better young man. When asked who has impacted him the most at PCAHS he spoke of a teacher. He said, "I'll never forget when he dropped me off for practice one day with two other of my teammates and he told us if we every needed anything to tell him. Even if it was 3:00 at night and we were stranded, he would come." He speaks now how he wants to mimic that care and gratefulness he has learned from the staff of PCAHS. He needs a HOME gym to keep his teachers from driving him to practice everyday.

Huge win for PCAHS tonight!!! Girls and boys win at home!!!
"The one thing I love most is Dr. Hunter's leadership of gaining respectful and caring teachers for the scholars of PCA".
Meet Paw Paw.
Humble. Faithful. Consistent. He is our building engineer. He has been here since the school started. There is never a day that he doesn't show up to school. There is not a student who does not value him has a grandfather figure in their life. There is not a staff member who doesn't love him. When asked who has impacted you the most at PCA, he said, "The scholars of PCA." He does everything for these kids; never once does he think about himself. He makes PCA better everyday. He needs a HOME gym to help from hauling his cleaning supplies from gym to gym.
