As I am prepping for my 2 week group detox I am reminded of all the ways we can be detoxing through choosing a variety of foods, especially vegetables. Many times, in between targeted cleanses, fasts and detox, it is easy to fall back into the habit of eating the same foods over and over again.
Why does this matter long term? Because we have to feed our gut bugs and keep our microbiome diverse. When we choose the same foods over and over, even if they are whole, clean organic choices, we have low diversity. I see it often on stool testing. Same foods, same strains, low diversity.
So take a look at this list. Not only are these veggies good for detox, they are also good for the gut! Each group of foods has a different function, many times it is based on the color of the whole food. So eat the rainbow, and make sure your kids are eating the rainbow too!
Any food on here you don't eat often that you could add to your weekly food plan? Comment below and then make it a goal to add 1 at a time to get your body's own detox organs working well.

Oh, and I am running a 7 day group detox group, it starts Feb 15th, if you want details on that, comment "tell me more" and I will include you in the email going out on Saturday. We will "Let Food be thy medicine" for 7 days, hope you will join us!

Doing a little shout out to any men, women or couples that feel like they need a little detox/reset. I love leading group detox programs because I get to share so much of what I have learned about clean food choices, clean products (think skin care and cleaning products) and also how to just detox from our busy lives. I used to think it was all about the supplements, but after 7 years of coaching and trying these all on my own, I know it is about so much more.
Here is what a group detox is like:
I will have a secure platform where I will post tips daily. You can be a silent follower, or join in the fun and ask questions, hop on a zoom call, and be an active participant, the choice is up to you.
I will share a detox program from a reputable, practitioner-grade brand (you know I don't like those Amazon supplement purchases, this is all about cleaning up our lives) and you will get a discount with the link to Fullscript to place your order.
After you decide to join and order your kit, I will invite you to the secure platform I use for health coaching and starting on Feb 8th you will have access to the content so you have 1 week to prepare for the detox.
We start on Feb 15th so we can take our time with food prepping for the week ahead. You can do a 7 day or 14 day detox, or order the 14 day kit and have a friend or significant other do it with you. The cost of the 2 weeks of coaching is $25.00 (which also includes a group zoom to help us get amazing results!)
So that is how this will work. I have many current clients who have been asking for another detox but I wanted to also open this up to anyone who already follows me and is ready to take the next step towards a cleaner, healthier 2026. Comment below if you would like some more details or send me a private message. Emails and links to order will be going out this weekend so don't wait, I anticipate a large group and we will have some fun together!

I am on day 2 of a course I purchased on how to improve HRV. If you are my client you know how important HRV is to your overall health. It is a metric used to assess our body’s recovery and resilience. And it should be tracked over time, the higher the better.
Today the focus was on acknowledging the difference between real rest and false rest. Do you see any activities you may need to work on to get out of the state of fight or flight? We think these activities are relaxing but they actually do the opposite to our nervous system. Which do you need to work on?

Love when my girls send me recipes that are clean and taste good. We try to do fish 2X/week to get in those omega 3's but it can get boring. These little salmon bites were quick and easy (yes ask Carl because he was the chef) and the yum yum sauce (not pictured) made them really good.
Crispy Bang Bang Salmon bite:
Ingredients:
360 g of salmon (skin off)
Salt/pepper
Garlic/onion powder
Bang Bang Sauce:
2 Tbsp greek yogurt
1 Tbsp light mayo (we used avocado mayo from Primal Kitchen)
1 Tbsp srirachi
2 tsp rice vinegar
1 Tbsp chili sauce
Instructions:
1. Cut salmon into 2 inch cubes
2. Season salmon with the seasonings above
3. Add salmon to air fryer in a single layer
4. Air fry at 400 deg for 8-10 minutes (longer if in the oven)
5. Mix bang bang sauce ingredients together
6. Drizzle bang bang sauce on top of salmon bites
Lmk if you try it, I promise they are so good!

Do you know what oils are considered “seed oils?” I have been studying oils for several years and it is still a confusing topic and it’s still hard to pick the best options. I listened to a training on seed oils and the expert coined a term called the “ Hateful 8.” Do you know what those are?
If so, comment below. 3 start with the letter “S”, 3 start with “C” and then the others are a “G” and an “R”. Try not to google and post any seed oils below that you know to stay away from. The jury is still out on a few of these, from what I have studied, but it is a good guide to follow if you know which ones to use caution with.

Signed up for Saturday. Didn't train as much as we wanted but we will get the 5K done with our weighted vests on. Check out this fun event for a great cause.
Getting ready! We are excited to see everyone on Saturday.
When it starts to suck and you are getting tired remember why we are doing this. This isn’t just about miles or reps—it’s about honoring the ones who served, the ones who gave all, and the ones still fighting battles we can't see. Every step you take today is a tribute.
You can still register, volunteer, or donate to help support local Veterans!
