If you haven’t heard the news yet, we’ll be at O’Kelley’s to watch the Champions League Final this Saturday

If you haven’t given me your headcount yet please do so today, we’re now expecting around 200 people and need to prepare the bar for the amount of people who say they’re going to be there.

I’d recommend getting to the bar no later than 11 especially if you have a large party, there are no tables that sit more than 6 people and we need to fit as many as possible so please don’t rearrange them.

Expect to make new friends, seating will be extremely limited so you’re gonna need to be flexible about the arrangements.

DO NOT COME IF YOU OR SOMONE AROUND YOU ARE SICK.

There is no way to social distance in a bar with this many people so I am politely requesting that if you still aren’t vaccinated, please wear a mask.

Champions League final is upon us! Here’s what you need to know:

-we’re currently at 150 RSVP’d and expecting even more stragglers and unannounced attendees
-match will be on all TVs including outside
-seating is first come first serve but don’t take my spot or I will throw a fit 😇
-kickoff is 12noon, I recommend getting there around 11a and no later than 11:30 to get a spot and get food and drink orders in. Their entire staff will be there to take care of us but still going to be a lot going on so be proactive and order three beers at once 😅
-PLEASE TAKE A LYFT OR UBER the parking lot can’t handle all of us and I know you’re going to be drinking so you must be safe or I will be mad

If you have any questions please reach out and if you haven’t RSVPd yet please do, we’re trying to get the best estimate possible so we can get service to meet our needs and fairly prepare them for this s**t show 😬

Hey all, we’re still accepting RSVPs for the Champions League Final match despite the date noted in the original post. We provided the preliminary headcount that day to the bar and we’re still good to accommodate more but need to plan ahead.

If you still want to join and haven’t RSVPd yet please respond with the count of total people in your party.

Masks are still required, and our current count is at ~105 people. There is minimal outdoor space available so expect to be indoors with many people and take this into consideration when deciding whether to join. Thanks everyone!

We need to prepare logistics and if you do not RSVP, we may have to turn you away for not having enough space. DM us or comment below with how many people will be in your party. If you’ve already responded elsewhere on social media, you’ve already been counted.

Children are technically permitted but we are not providing care or entertainment for them and it will be ROWDY AF. I am not sure if the bar has high chairs. Please take these things into consideration when deciding whether to bring children.

Masks are required whenever you are not actively eating or drinking and especially when you are moving around.

Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone! I’m sure you are all wondering about whether we plan to meet for the upcoming matches due to COVID. The short version is: not yet.

Our main concern is the safety of our Phoenix Blues family and our side families. I understand this is quite a controversial topic, but we want to be able to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. There is no way to maintain both our distance from one another and a matchday experience that’s worth leaving the couch for given the current state of affairs and limitations of the bar atmosphere.

We will not be meeting for any of the September matches and will provide another update in October. Our plan is to continue to evaluate the situation on a month to month basis. We are starting to see rate of cases and hospitalizations decrease here in the Valley, so we’re hoping that the trend continues.

In the meantime we plan to do zoom meet ups, match thread discussions, and fantasy premier league bragging threads among other things so we can all feel connected through these strange times. Also be on the look out for instructions from Kris about how to participate in this seasons new and improved Season Predictor competition!

Stay safe and healthy out there, we’re looking forward to the day we can all comfortably meet again.
