As race director I love Usery Mountain Regional Park, and enjoy learning of its story. I’m excited, as I was able to find and purchase the April 10, 1892 issue of The Herald Democrat newspaper out of Leadville, CO where they report on the arrest of one ‘King Uszry’ and one ‘Henry Blevens’ for two stagecoach robberies, which included gold and silver bullion, cash and jewelry.

Looking for those outgoing trail runners to come dressed up in Old West Outlaw or Sherrif costumes to run. There will be a prize for best costume!!

Did you know that 100% of your Scarface Mountain Trail Run registration goes to charity? 🧡

Not only are you supporting our local community, but you might just find some "treasure" of your own. Legend says Henry Blevins hid stolen silver along these very trails—and on race day, we're hiding "silver bars" for you to find and claim prizes! 🪙🌵
