Hello hikers! Join Miami Hiking Club as we clean up John C. Farina Mangrove Preserve as part of Miami-Dade County’s annual cleanup, Baynanza 🚮🌊🐠

We’ll be meeting at John C. Farina Mangrove Preserve to do a cleanup of the shores of the Oleta River as part of Miami-Dade County’s Baynanza, an annual countywide community clean-up event. We will be walking in and out of the mangroves at at the preserve.

Hello hikers! We’re back to explore the Everglades for a good cause—a fundraiser for to build a healing outdoor space for young survivors of human trafficking. We’re collaborating with who is bringing this project to life through the Leadership Miami fellowship.
100% of every ticket for the hike will go to Kristi House, just make sure to add “Hike” to your donation dedication and include your email so we can send you instructions and reminders for the hike.
We expect this to be a mostly dry 3-5 mile hike. Recommended for ages 10+, and all children MUST be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are not permitted in Big Cypress National Preserve.

We’re headed back to the Everglades!
For the second year in a row, We Met in Miami and Miami Hiking Club are teaming up to kick off the new year with new adventures and new connections.
On Saturday, Jan. 3, break the ice and wade into the swamp during this free guided Everglades hike designed for adults 21 + seeking new friends or romantic connections.
Meet us at Gator Hook Trail in the Big Cypress National Preserve for a five-mile hike featuring stunning nature views and wildlife sightings. We’ll connect along the way, with icebreakers and a mid-hike break for snacks and conversations.
RSVPs open at 11am tomorrow, 12/22! Link will be in bio and our stories 🥾

Swamp Solidarity 🐊🤝 Thanks everyone for showing out and bringing tons of food donations for ! Got a nice 5-6 miles in and a bunch of wildlife sightings.

👈 Swipe left for a complete list of non-perishable items to bring. 🥫🍗 We kindly request that each hiker bring 1-2 perishable foods, which will be delivered to Buddy System MIA for them to share with people in need.

Hey everyone! Because of potential lightning on the weather forecast, we’re rescheduling tomorrow’s hike to next Saturday, 10/19. Same time and place. Anyone currently registered for the hike will have a spot next Saturday.
If you can’t make it, please cancel your tickets or send us a message so we can pass them to someone on the waitlist.

Hello hikers! Get ready for another hike down the Florida Trail, this time going south from I-75 toward Ivy Campground! ☀️ 🥾 🐊
Come join us for our next hike at Florida Trail South in Big Cypress National Preserve. We may not finish the entire trail depending on water level and the pace of the group, but we hope it will be a good introduction for anyone who is new to wet walks. Expect to hike 5-6 miles/10 km round trip total.

Double recap post! For our April event, we joined the Miami-Dade County Baynanza clean up at East Greynolds Park. Big thanks to everyone who got up early on a Saturday to clean up our public outdoor spaces 💚🗑️
In March, we had the wonderful lead us for a plant identification hike! We learned about native species and tricks for how to tell all that green apart with Tatiana’s zine 🌿
We’ll be back in the Everglades next month—stay tuned! 🐊

Join us for a cleanup Baynanza! Volunteer with us and thousands of others across Miami-Dade to protect our parks and oceans on April 12th 🌊🥾🚮
Bringing the community together to celebrate our incredible marine resources and enhance our Biscayne Bay Watershed through environmental stewardship, Baynanza 2025 will take place at over 30 locations across Miami-Dade County. Registered volunteers at all official cleanup sites will receive a free commemorative T-shirt.
