JEMKIDS was created by Jonerik Murphy to help develop a culture of physically fit children at a time when the statistics show that the obesity rate is increasing throughout the youth population. While many schools are reducing or eliminating physical education programs to dedicate more time to classroom work, something is being left out: Physical literacy. Coaching children is a privilege and blessing. It can be such a rewarding path. It also comes with responsibility. We are teachers and guides. Our job is to help them achieve their potential. We are not supposed to impose our preconceived ideas of who they are and what they can be. We just need to assist them on their journey.
Improving athleticism will provide tremendous benefits for the youth athlete. The better they move, they more successful they will be on the field/court.

Teaching youth athletes how to absorb face with proper mechanics will not only improve performance but also reduce injury risk. .
One of the best ways to help youth athletes to improve their sports performance is to improve their movement proficiency.
Youth athletes need programs which address improving athleticism. Improving movement will improve their on-field/court performance.

Healthy Kids Running Series was created to introduce children to physical activity. As more children adopt a sedentary lifestyle it is important we keep them active.
Races are held every Sunday from 2:30-3:30 at Little Haiti Soccer Park in Miami until November 17th. You can sign your children up for the remaining races on the website.

Also, children should NOT be trained like adults. They should be challenged, guided and directed so they learn how important play, movement & being active are to their future selves.
