Congratulations to Karina on finishing in 30th place in 2a at the state of Florida cross country championships yesterday in Tallahassee.
She ran a career best time of 19:48 on the FSU home course.
It was a great way to finish out her high school cross country career, and we look forward to her final high school track season in the spring!
Great job, Karina! Very proud of your accomplishments!!!

Congratulations, as Karina advanced individually to the state championship next week in Tallahassee!
This will be her 4th season ending the season at the state championship for St. Brendan.
The first year, she was a member of our team that finished second in the state. Her sophomore year, she was a main contributor to our third place team.
The last two years have probably been the hardest as she has had to advance individually as the team did not advance.
Glad to have watched and helped her along this journey!
Congrats, Karina!

So proud to have been able to coach Karina over the past 4 seasons and watch her grow as both a runner and person.
Even after leaving St. Brendan, I am glad I have been able to coach her and help her achieve her goals.
She brings a positive attitude every day and made the most of her situation the last couple years.
Couldn't be happier to have watched her develop into a multi-time state qualifier. In addition, she is prominent in the top 10 all-time at St. Brendan in all distance events in both cross country and track.
Way to go, Karina!

As many in South Florida are aware, a young man was tragically struck by lightning during a training run and passed away this past weekend.
To honor his passion for running, the family is looking to establish a scholarship fund in his name that will establish a scholarship fund for his younger brother (Liam), also a runner, and provide annual scholarships for runners entering college.
Please consider donating to this campaign to honor Ethan and share with family and friends.

Congratulations, Robbie!
It was only one year coaching him, but it was a great year as he left Somerset Academy Pembroke Pines as the school record holder in the 1600, 3200 and 5k (xc).
Looking forward to seeing your continued growth as a runner at the next level!

Just wanted to congratulate St. Brendan senior Kaycie Aquilino on a tremendous high school career.
Kaycie was a state qualifier all 4 years of track and was a key member of our St. Brendan cross country team that finished on the podium a couple of years ago.
More than her athletic talents, though, she was a team leader who was willing to challenge her teammates and herself in order to achieve team goals.
The only regret is not being able to be there for her senior year to coach her through her final season.
Her HS prs:
5k (xc) - 18:50
800 - 2:24
1600 - 5:09
3200 - 11:15
Can't wait to see her run at UCF!
And of course, I will always remember the Aquilino family every time I walk Jax 😉
Great job, Kaycie!

Great job, Rachel!!

Just wanted to congratulate Kaycie on a great high school career.
In addition to being a great runner, she became a great leader for us during our time at St. Brendan. She always wants the team to do well and is not afraid to challenge her teammates.
She finished with PR's of:
5k xc - 18:50
Couldn't be more proud of her accomplishments as a high school runner and look forward to watching her run at UCF.
