The excitement is building as we enter the last stretch of our marathon preparation journey. With just a few days left until the big race, it’s time to channel our inner strength and focus on the finish line. 🎉

The Taper Week Magic: 🌟 As we taper our training this week, let’s not underestimate the importance of rest and recovery. Our bodies have undergone rigorous training, and now is the time to allow them to rejuvenate and be at their peak performance on race day. Trust the process and enjoy the taper week magic!

Visualizing Success: 🏆 Take a moment each day to visualize yourself crossing the finish line with determination and pride. Positive visualization not only boosts confidence but also helps in mentally preparing for the challenges that may come our way during the marathon. Picture that moment when you achieve your goal – it’s right around the corner!

Nutrition Matters: 🍏🥤 Pay close attention to your nutrition in these final days. Fuel your body with the right balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Stay hydrated and avoid trying anything new that might upset your stomach on race day. A well-nourished body is a powerful one!

Gear Check: 🧤🧢 Ensure that all your running gear is ready and in good condition. Lay out your race-day outfit, pin your bib, and double-check your shoes. A comfortable and familiar outfit can make a significant difference in your overall race experience.

Rest, Reflect, Repeat: 😴✨ Rest is crucial, both physically and mentally. Use this time to reflect on your training journey, the challenges you’ve overcome, and the progress you’ve made. Remind yourself of the dedication and hard work you’ve put in. You’ve got this!

Final Words of Encouragement: 💪 Embrace these final days with gratitude and determination. Remember, the marathon is not just a race; it’s a celebration of your commitment, resilience, and passion for running. Be proud of yourself and savor every step of the journey.

Let’s lace up our shoes, take a deep breath, and make these last days of preparation count! See you at the starting line! 🏁

Why Power?

•Power is a direct measure of how hard you are pushing on the pedals, a watt is a watt, and power never lies. Power provides instant feedback

•Heart Rate (HR)

•HR is the body’s response to the work being done.
•HR is variable

•Delayed feedback

Perceived Effort (RPE)

• RPE scale 1-10 (1 being easy/ 10 being max effort).

•RPE is variable

•No data analysis
