From the firefighter/paramedic to the dispatchers, training instructors, administrators, and leaders behind the scenes, the women of the City of Miami Department of Fire-Rescue play a vital role in keeping our city safe. Their strength, dedication, professionalism, and compassion continue to inspire the next generation of women in public safety.

Today and every day, we honor the women who answer the call.

On this , meet the banteng! These captivating wild cattle, found in Southeast Asia, are sadly critically endangered per IUCN classification. This critical status means they're at a very high risk of disappearing forever from the wild. Zoo Miami works with Action Indonesia to help save them. A cool fact: males have distinctive upward-arching horns, while females sport smaller ones. 🐄
