Thinking about getting life insurance but don’t know where to start? 🤎

Ask yourself:

1. Who am I protecting?
2. What would need to be covered if something happened to me?
3. What can I comfortably afford each month?
4. What am I actually trying to accomplish with my policy?
5. What coverage do I already have?

Because life insurance isn’t one-size-fits-all.

The goal shouldn’t be to buy the biggest policy someone can sell you. The goal is to understand what you’re buying, why you’re buying it, and whether it fits your financial picture.

Protection should make sense for your life AND your budget.

This morning, the word was REST. 🤎

Rest in abundance.
Rest in what God said.
Rest in who God says I am.

I am no longer accepting survival mode as an identity. I refuse every label, mindset, limitation, and expectation that is anything less than God’s best for me.

I’ve learned how to survive. I’ve learned how to push through, figure it out, carry the weight, and keep going.

But I don’t want to become so accustomed to surviving that I struggle to receive the abundance I prayed for.

This season requires something different from me: peace. trust. surrender. expectation.

I can work without striving.
I can build without fear.
I can prepare without worrying.
I can rest and still be productive.
I can receive without waiting for something to go wrong.

Survival was a season. It is not my identity.

Today, I choose to rest in the truth that God has more for me—and I give myself permission to live like I believe it. 🤎

Whole Life vs. IUL… what’s actually the difference? 👀

I just got off a call with a client who asked me this exact question, and I thought, if she’s asking, I know somebody else is wondering too.

So let’s make financial literacy make sense. 😂

Both Whole Life and Indexed Universal Life (IUL) are forms of permanent life insurance that can build cash value—but they don’t work the same way.

✨ Whole Life: generally focuses on guarantees, fixed premiums and predictable cash-value growth.

✨ IUL: offers more flexibility, with cash-value interest crediting tied in part to the performance of a market index. Your money is not directly invested in the stock market, and policy performance depends on the policy’s terms, charges and how it is funded.

And here’s the part I really want you to understand:

The question isn’t, “Which one is better?”
The question is, “Which one makes sense for what YOU are trying to accomplish?”

Your age, budget, family, goals, timeline and the kind of protection you’re looking for all matter.

This is exactly why I do what I do. We weren’t all taught this stuff growing up—but we can learn it now and make informed financial decisions moving forward. 🤎

“I can’t afford life insurance.”

Sis… before we decide that, let’s look at the numbers. 👀

Sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t a changed circumstance…
It’s a changed heart.
There was a season when I wanted God to remove every obstacle in front of me.
Instead…
He began rebuilding me.
And looking back…
I’m grateful He did.
Because had He answered my prayers too quickly…
I wouldn’t have become the woman capable of stewarding the life I’m building today.
Maybe you’re waiting for God to change your circumstances.

Don’t miss what He’s developing inside of you while you wait.
Sometimes the greatest blessing isn’t getting out quickly…
It’s becoming someone new while you’re walking through it.

💰 Money Monday

If I could sit down with my 25-year-old self… there are five money lessons I’d beg her to learn sooner.

Not because I have life all figured out…

But because these lessons would’ve saved me years of stress, fear, and financial uncertainty.

Here’s what I’d tell her:

💛 Financial literacy is a form of self-care.

🛡️ Protect your income before you focus on building wealth.

📋 Create a financial plan before life forces you to.

📚 Invest in yourself—your knowledge is one of your greatest assets.

🌱 Your financial future doesn’t have to look like your past.

Maybe no one taught you.

Maybe you’re rebuilding.

So am I.

But rebuilding isn’t failing.

It’s giving yourself permission to build wisely this time.

That’s exactly why I’m documenting this journey—because I believe every woman deserves the opportunity to build wealth with wisdom, one decision at a time.

Before August gets the chance to define you…

I’m choosing to coin this month with adventure, abundance, faith, growth, and a whole lot of wins. 🌴✨

This trip to the Virgin Islands reminded me that abundant living isn’t just a destination…it’s a mindset. It’s choosing to celebrate where you are while believing God for where you’re going.

So before this month gets busy…

Pause.

Choose your word.

Set your intention.

Pray over it.

Then show up every day as the woman you’re becoming.

My word is: ABUNDANCE.

✍🏽 Write Your Way Right Out of It

There was a season when I didn’t know what to do next. During prayer, I felt the Lord whisper one simple instruction:

“Write.”

📖 “Write the vision; make it plain…” — Habakkuk 2:2

So I started writing the life I was believing God for—not because I could already see it, but because I believed He could.

If your current reality doesn’t match what’s in your heart, don’t stop dreaming.

Write the vision. Pray over it. Submit it to God. Then trust Him with the process.

Your journal may become tomorrow’s testimony. ❤️
