Our league was founded in 1962. The league was originally named "Los Viejos Elefantes Del Grapeland" which means " The Old Elephant's Of Grapeland " . The name was inspired by the players since they were mainly seniors. In 1982 the league changed its name to " Los Amigos Del Grapeland " which means "The Friend Of Grapeland" . To Date the league has remain with the same name. The name was change be
cause not only were seniors participating but also their children and players of different ages also join our league. Today over 1400 players had perticipated in our league including 38 father and son. Playing Enviroment
Los Amigos del Grapeland promotes a wholesome family enviroment, having earned its reputation for providing fun, yet disciplined and competitive baseball for its players and fans . League rules are fairly rigid regarding player conduct and behavior while on the field, foul language and unsportsmanlike conduct are not tolerated. Schedule
Los Amigos Del Grapeland operates two regular season, Spring and Fall, Fall season consist of minimum 18 regular season games plus playoff, spring season consist of at least 12 games. All games are played on Sunday. Membership
Membership fees are 220 per players, after officially registering to play, new players are assigned to the league player pool and then reassigned to the league teams based on team needs.Fees cover all expenses related to playing baseball, field rentals ,umpire services, baseball, insurance, web managment, official score keeper. ( does not include uniform costs.)
