What began in July with 50 boys and girls representing Team Lyman in our 13U and 17U PGA Jr. League programs became a summer and fall campaign we will never forget.
More than 30 practices. Countless hours of preparation. Play Days. A Connecticut Section PGA 17U Championship and a runner-up finish in 13U.
But the journey was far from over.
Two teams traveled to Harwich, Massachusetts, for the 17U Regional Championship, where the stakes were higher, the pressure was greater, and the moments were unforgettable. We won a semifinal in dramatic fashion, then battled through downpours to capture the Regional Championship in even more incredible fashion. 🍎
Then came a night golf fundraiser, more practices and one more chapter in an incredible journey, a trip to New Mexico to represent Team Lyman on the national stage.
Against 11 other regional champions and finalists from across the country, Team Lyman finished 6th in the nation. 🇺🇸
From the first practice in July to the final putt in New Mexico, this was about so much more than golf. It was about teamwork, perseverance, friendship, family, and a group of young people who believed in one another every step of the way.
To every player, volunteer, supporter, and everyone who helped make this campaign possible: THANK YOU.
To our families, who sacrifice their time, make the countless trips, cheer through the pressure, and stand behind these kids every step of the way — YOU ARE THE HEART OF TEAM LYMAN. ❤️
To our PGA/LPGA coaches, from our first outdoor practice at The Apple 9 in April with Sarah, Andra, Bryan, Jason, Derek, Isabella, Tae, and Nick to the final putts hit in New Mexico with Alex Cavaliere and John Dipollina, thank you for the countless hours you put in. You truly are “Growing The Game” and creating memories that will last a lifetime. The friendships and experiences will go far beyond the golf course.
2026, YOU WERE SOMETHING SPECIAL.
This is Team Lyman. This is a family…And what a journey it has been. 💙⛳ 🍎
