July photo dump in August.

My 2nd run at the USBC Open Championships is in the books! It was another successful year and a trip well needed in Vegas. Here’s how it went down:

Bowlers Journal: 735, 715, and 686 sets. Purple Hammer did the work and felt my best all week in this event.

Team: 614 for myself and 2786 for the team consisting of Dave North, Austin O’Neal, Ethan Driver, Bruce Morris, and myself. Freshly drilled Hammer Effect (by Ethan) did the striking.

Doubles: Paired with Cade Williamson and we did very well. Cade shot 257 and I shot 267 in Game 2 which was very bracket friendly. We finished with 1316. I shot 665. Purple Hammer once again!

Singles: 573. Got stubborn and didn’t get out of urethane. Finally switched to my DV8 Trouble Maker in the final game to pop off 225 after a very rough 2 games.

All Events total is 1852. Combined with 3 Bowlers Journal squads, I averaged 221 on the lanes this week. Besides Singles, I cashed in everything else. Overall, another successful run at Nationals and loving this event each year!

Big thanks to Mike Zanghi for getting our crew from Mid County Lanes all set up for this week. Good times on and off the lanes. And I lucked out on probably the best hotel stay I ever had. Thank you to South Point and USBC for making my stay away from home much more relaxing.
