28 teams men’s softball tournament held annually. All proceeds promoting cancer awareness.
Three day tournament includes; Home-run derby, concession stand, and t-shirt sales in addition to tea cup raffle with great prizes from local businesses.

Never Give Up Softball Tournament starts today at Moody School in Middletown. 9am. Cancer survivor ceremony at noon. Will be there all weekend. Double elimination games , Great raffle prizes, Tshirts for sale, food and beverages, moonbounce for kids. Come out and support and help in our fight against cancer.

2023 Never Give Up Softball Tournament Rules and Team Expectations. Moody School 300 Country Club Rd Middletown, CT 7/29-7/30
Games
1 and 1 count with no courtesy foul
Single wall bats only
3hrs per game.
Can purchase additional HRs through scorekeeper before game
3 for $20
Can designate 3 players to courtesy run for. Last batted out
Players cannot jump teams if they are eliminated
12 run rule after 5 /20 after 4. No Equal raps after 4
All players must sign waiver. Committee will provide
Arc will be 6-10 feet. Umps will call illegal
Team Expectations
Per town there are NO Grills allowed other than Never Give Up Committee who has a permit to grill. (We strongly encourage you to purchase food from our stand to support Never Give Up)
All beverages need to be in a red solo cup. Food tent will provide.
Reminder that we should not argue with umpires who donate their time
Hand lineups and waivers in 10 prior to start time
Be available to play 15 minutes prior to start time

Ok so the Never Give Up softball tournament started in 1996 and we are putting a list together of all the winners from each year. If you remember what year your team won it or any team and the year let us know. Need the team and the year. Thanks Never Give Up committee
