Last night was an exciting one! Xavier’s wrestling champions along with the varsity squad attended the CHSCA Awards dinner honoring the champs as well as the team of the year. We are honored to say that our very own Braylon Gonzalez was crowned with the biggest yearly award WRESTLER OF THE YEAR! An honor that was truly earned based off his hard-work and dedication to the sport, his team, coaches and family. Xavier’s wrestling team was also named TEAM OF THE YEAR after being unanimously voted team of the week every single week! An honor we all take very seriously and work towards every season. We thank you all for your continued support of the wrestlers as well as the coaches and our school. We wouldn’t be where we are without you all! 2025/2026 season has come to a close. Can’t wait to see what we do next year! 💪🏻

What a great weekend for Xavier wrestling as the team secured their 5th straight State open championship!!
We had 10 wrestlers make it to the opens tournament and 8 placed!!
We had 7 finalists, 5 champions and one 4th place finisher.
Congratulations to Braylon Gonzalez on becoming a 3x State Open Champion!!
Congratulations to Josh Perez, Zach Dixon, Vinnie Rivera, and Chase Catalano on capturing thirr 1st State open championship wins! Al DePratti and Zaphyr Musshorn brought home second-place finishes, while and Trey Beam finished in fourth. All in all a tremendus weekend for these boys. Congratulations Xavier Coaches and Wrestlers!!

Xavier wrestling team had extra inspiration in latest CIAC title run: the memory of coach's dad Coach Mike Cunningham's father Jim died shortly after Christmas. Xavier wrestlers say he's still with them in spirit.
