🔥⚾️ WHY THE WEST TEXAS DIRT DEVILS? ⚾️🔥
I’m going to be completely honest.
Since we started the West Texas Dirt Devils in the Fall of 2024, we’ve had people talk about us. We’ve had people criticize us. We’ve had former members leave and say negative things. We’ve had parents call us asking if the rumors they’ve heard are true.
And you know what happens almost every single time a family joins our organization?
We hear the exact same thing:
“We were told so many bad things about y’all, but once we got here, we realized none of it was true.”
“This feels like family.”
“We’ve never been part of an organization like this.”
“Our child has grown more here than anywhere else.”
The truth is, when you’re trying to build something different, not everyone is going to understand it.
At the West Texas Dirt Devils, we are not perfect. We’ve made mistakes. In Fall 2025, we focused too much on growing numbers instead of focusing on the quality people that fit our culture. We learned from it, adjusted, and became stronger because of it.
Today, we are more committed than ever to building this organization the right way.
We are not looking for families who just want a baseball team.
We are looking for families who want to be part of something bigger.

⚾️ And so much more
Because baseball is what we do.
But developing young men is who we are.
We want our athletes to learn how to handle adversity, become leaders, serve others, respect people, work hard, be accountable, and understand that success in life comes from discipline and character.
Wins are great.
Rings are great.
Rankings are great.
But if a child leaves our organization as a better person than when they arrived, we’ve done our job.
Every athlete matters here.
Every family matters here.
Every success gets celebrated here.
And when life gets hard, we stand together here.
That’s why so many families stay.
That’s why our athletes continue to grow.
And that’s why people who actually experience the Dirt Devils culture almost always say the same thing:
“I wish we would’ve joined sooner.”
If you’re looking for an organization that is built on family, accountability, development, community involvement, and giving young athletes every opportunity to succeed both on and off the field, we’d love to talk with you.
Don’t listen to the rumors.
Come see it for yourself.

This is who West Texas Dirt Devils organization is:
I’m pushing you past your limits so you realize you don't actually have any.
I’m holding the line on discipline because that’s the armor you’ll need in the real world.
I’m demanding your full tank every day because the game—and life—doesn't give refunds on wasted effort.
I’m not your friend today so I can be your mentor forever.
Your future self will thank me for not letting you quit when it got hard.
✍️ Signed, A Coach who plays for the long game.

🔥⚾️ RUIDOSO MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT RECAP ⚾️🔥
This weekend was another major step forward for the West Texas Dirt Devils organization, and I couldn’t be more proud of every athlete, coach, and family that made the trip and competed in Ruidoso.
Our 9U team battled all weekend long, finishing 4-2 and bringing home 2nd place in the Gold Bracket against some very tough competition. These boys showed heart, toughness, resilience, and the ability to compete deep into games. What stood out to me the most was the leadership that started to emerge this weekend. For the first time all season, I didn’t have to call every single play. Players started taking ownership, communicating, and trusting one another on the field. That growth is huge.
Watching the progress this group has made over the last two years has honestly been incredible. They are learning how to play together, trust the process, and compete at a very high level. There’s a reason this team is currently ranked #2 in the state and #13 nationally — and they’re still continuing to grow.
Our 12U team may have gone 0-3, but I want people to understand something important — this team started in January with only two players. Since then, it has grown rapidly into a team that families and athletes constantly reach out about because people see the potential this group has.
The scoreboard does not always tell the full story. The amount of talent, athleticism, and raw ability on this 12U roster is unreal. Honestly, this is one of the most naturally gifted groups of athletes I’ve ever been around. Right now, we are still learning how to put all the pieces together — building chemistry, understanding situational baseball, slowing the game down mentally, and learning how to trust one another in pressure situations.
But the flashes are there. The potential is there. The competitiveness is there. And that’s what excites me the most.
As an organization, we are headed in the right direction. We are building something special from the ground up, and weekends like this are all part of the process. Proud of every single athlete that wore a Dirt Devils jersey this weekend and represented this organization with effort and pride.
Also, a HUGE shoutout and THANK YOU to Action Wrecker and Rino with K&K Compression for sponsoring our Memorial Day jerseys. Your support means more than you know and helps make opportunities like this possible for our athletes and families.
And another huge shoutout to LTX Apparel out of Lamesa, Texas for absolutely crushing these jersey designs. They turned out badass, and our boys looked incredible all weekend long. 🔥🇺🇸⚾️
The future is bright. 😈⚾️🔥

💣⚾️ DIRT DEVILS BATS WERE ABSOLUTELY ON FIRE IN RUIDOSO ⚾️💣
This past Memorial Day weekend in Ruidoso, the West Texas Dirt Devils came ready to swing it! From top to bottom, our organization was hitting the ball hard all weekend long. Several athletes throughout both our 9U and 12U teams were driving balls into the gaps, stacking up doubles and triples, and creating explosive offense every single game. 🔥👀

What makes this even more exciting is seeing the growth of our athletes as hitters. The hard work during practices, batting clinics, and extra reps is starting to translate onto the field in a BIG way. We are beginning to see more confidence at the plate, more aggressive approaches, and more athletes learning how to drive the baseball gap-to-gap instead of just making contact.
As an organization, our bats were loud all weekend long, and this is only the beginning. Proud of every single athlete that stepped into the box and competed. 😈⚾️🔥
