Yoga class guidelines! What do you think? Some might call it etiquette, but I just think it’s what you do to get the most out of a yoga class:
1. Be on time. Which means five minutes before class starts.
2. Do the class that’s being taught. Modifying and adapting the poses to meet your current physical state is encouraged and necessary, but don’t do your own thing in the middle of a class.
3. Stay the whole time. The ending of class is important! You can’t have a complete Asana practice without Shavasana.
4. Communicate with your teacher if you are unable to do any of the above.

Today (June 2) marks the 20 year anniversary of the first class I ever taught. Instructing yoga is by far the best job I’ve ever had. I am ever so grateful for this practice, and sharing it with others is the greatest honor.

About last weekend.. I had the pleasure of co-hosting, co-facilitating and co-teaching the Mindful Movement Summit with esteemed Pilates instructor Naya Calmels our community gathered .yoga we breathed, moved mindfully and had some laughs over some snacks. It was a celebration of community and mindful movement.
