NEWS FLASH for 2026
The 20th edition of Bikes For Kids returns in December, and with a twist! All bicycles provided to North Fulton Community Charities for Toyland will be NEW this year!
Bikes For Kids has been reshaped several times since the first 65 used bikes were cleaned and repaired in 2007. Bike Alpharetta, a local a 501c(3) non-profit, then managed the seasonal project for the next 12 years. In 2026, Peloton Sports founder Jackie Tyson has stepped in to coordinate a revitalized effort, with 180 new bikes pledged over the summer.
The goal is to provide up to 300 new bikes in boxes to NFCC’s Toyland from December 14-16. Bike Alpharetta will continue to support the program by donating new helmets, and Pedal Forward, another a Alpharetta-based non-profit, will manage monetary donations from individuals and businesses for the purchase of new bikes.
Since 2007, Bikes For Kids has provided nearly 6,000 bicycles, tricycles and scooters, as well as 3,000 new helmets, for NFCC’s Toyland!
Thank you for all the generous volunteers who helped in the past with cleaning bikes, moving bikes and repairing bikes. How can you continue to help? Donate a new bike, donate funds for us to purchase a new bike, or help at our new Domestique Days - a few shifts will be offered December 17 and 18 to build new bikes at Toyland.
