NOAA-20 captured the Aurora Borealis and the Great Lakes overnight, two of our favorites scenes via satellite! Satellite data also indicates that the Lakes are 12% ice covered. This will more than double with the arctic air descending this weekend. Many Great Lake towns will see daytime high temperatures that are BELOW ZERO Sunday and Monday! 🥶

US Flag once again flying proudly at SSYC. Past Commodores Dave Wehnes and Bruce Nason were able to clear the fouled tattered flag and rig a temporary halyard. Some how during the October wind storm the lower flag halyard caught on the cable supporting flag yardarm.
