Some lessons only make sense after life has made you live through them.

You learn that happiness does not mean having no problems. You learn that certain lessons keep circling back until you finally face them. You learn that some of the days you would never choose again still gave you something you needed.

And eventually you realize you cannot change where the story started.

But you can absolutely change what you do with the pages you still have left.

Growth rarely feels comfortable while it is happening. Sometimes becoming the person God is shaping you into means leaving behind a version of yourself that could not go where you are headed next.
