People ask me all the time “Have you always been fit?” Here’s your answer. No. I haven’t. Weight issues started early for me. Sometime in middle school I gained a ton of weight, I was shopping in the women’s section for clothes and I was so uncomfortable in my own skin. ⁣

I am posting these 4 photos to show you, that sometimes you slip up. And that’s okay, because we are human. AND that it’s possible to get back to where you were, or BETTER! In the span of 3 months, I gained 35 pounds and it was definitely a backwards transformation. ⁣i was lazy, complacent and most of all careless when it came to my health. ⁣
Swipe through to see 4 stages in my adult life when I was on a weight rollercoaster. ⁣

Photo 1: Today - 125 pounds, Very pleased with my body, able to maintain this and most days I’m pretty confident in who I am. ⁣

Photo 2: July 4, 2015 - 170 pounds, couldn’t stand what I looked like. Super uncomfortable and extremely insecure. ⁣

Photo 3: April 12, 2015 - 140 Pounds, was in prep for a show and for the first time in my life, I was in good shape. ⁣

Photo 4: July 14, 2014 - 155 pounds, was just starting in the gym and was starting to see some minor improvements in my body but still very insecure. ⁣

I don’t have a secret weapon, no fancy pills or wraps. It was a lot of trial and error. And when I found what worked for me, I finally stuck with it. If you’re having a hard time maintaining the healthy that works for you (when you’re happy & healthy) keep working. Stay relentless. @ Minneapolis, Minnesota

It wasn’t genetics. I wasn’t always in shape. There wasn’t magic pills, powders or wraps. I made a commitment to myself that I would get healthy. I made a commitment to myself that I would be around for my kids, for a really long time. I made a commitment to myself to not look in the mirror and be disappointed with myself. .

I worked really hard. I was super dedicated and I sacrificed a lot. I turned a hobby into a lifestyle. .

Not only has fitness changed me physically but also mentally. There used to be a ton of stuff I couldn’t stand about my look. And then I realized that I can literally create any body I want, if I put the work in. If I actually dedicated myself. Recipe for success: Dedication+hard work+consistency+sacrifice

I know I talk a lot about goals but more and more each day I see why they’re so important. -
I got into fitness a little over 5 years ago and was quickly turned on to Flag Nor Fail. I loved what they stood for and what the name meant. -
At the time, it seemed like an unreachable goal to ever be any part or associated with them. It seemed so far out of my reach. So one of my goals was to do a photo shoot with FNF. -
That was almost 6 years ago. Last week I got to shoot with them. I got to go to their warehouse and meet everyone. I got to see so much and got to be involved. CRAZY. -
Here’s what I’m saying, NO goal is unreachable. No matter how silly or insignificant or maybe how big and scary it may seem at the time. If you REALLY want something, work your face off, stay positive & be relentless on your journey. -
The time is now. Create your goals. And don’t stop till you hit them. - “I shall not flag nor fail” ⚓️
