It’s also been quite a race for me since spring keeping up with orders! The socials have suffered but know that I’m still here building pochade boxes for over 17 years now…unbelievable!!

putting the 6x8 Belly River through the paces over the last year, she wrote in a recent email:
“I’ve been meaning to tell you how much I LOVE my Belly River Pochade box. I’ve had it for over a year now, and it’s been set up on an Irish estuary, below the cliffs on the Yorkshire coast, in my kayak on the Connecticut River, and on the rocky shore of Lake Superior - to name but a few of the places I was able to transport my ‘studio’ thanks to your ingenious craftsmanship. Not only is it the handiest box I’ve ever used in my almost 50 years of plein air painting, it’s also the most beautiful.”

It’s not often that I feature myself plein air painting since I’d prefer to showcase all the talented artists who use my pochade boxes to create their work. However, I think it’s important to know that I do use them and, initially, made them with all the features I wanted in a pochade box. Even now, almost 17 years later, I'm still making improvements to ensure they are better and more helpful for artists…including myself!
