If you have never worked out, work out regularly but aren't seeing results, or just want to move better without pain, I want to help. I'm Chris Johnson.
NASM CPT with specialties in Women's Fitness and Corrective Exercise I'm a veteran US Army helicopter pilot. After leaving the Army, I went to law school and practiced litigation in Houston for 25+ years. As I aged, I put on weight, lost muscle and generally felt sluggish. So in my late 50's, I decided to make a change. After training on my own a couple of years, I started to get bogged down the s
ea of internet fitness nonsense and conflicting information. I then took it upon myself to learn what I could about scientifically proven health and fitness concepts. I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer with specializations in Women's Fitness and Corrective Exercise. I've helped many people develop a rewarding relationship with exercise and fitness that satisfies their goals. I'm ready to work with you.
Just got this. Very excited to be able to utilize my new skills to provide excellent advice and support to older clients looking to improve their quality of life.
Recovery tip: a percussion massage gun, like Hypervolt or Theragun, is an excellent post workout tool. Like foam rolling, it's a myofascial intervention tool that provides a deep and rapid massage to the myofascia. Like foam rolling, when used after workouts it can help reduce the pain and stiffness that typically develops a day or two after strenuous exercise. If you find foam rolling too difficult or too painful, try a percussion massage gun. You have better ability to target specific areas and better control over the amount of force used.
