Our lungs rely on the constant movement of our diaphragm -a large muscle that helps us expand and contract our lungs- and other surrounding tissues. Sometimes when we arenโ€™t in the habit of breathing deeply, those tissues can weaken and become stiff. This leads to short, shallow breaths that arenโ€™t efficient, meaning you have to work harder to get the air you need ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

๐—œ๐˜€ ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—ท๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐—น๐˜†?

Not at all! Breathing deeply and slowly is a great start, but we need all different kinds of breath practices to bring restricted lungs back to full function. In this workshop weโ€™ll do lots of interesting and unusual breath exercises so we have many techniques for many circumstances ๐ŸŒ€

๐Ÿฉป Highly efficient lungs can change your whole life, not to mention the relationship youโ€™ll build with your breath + body.

๐Ÿฉป Youโ€™ll sleep better, move easier, and learn how to tap into your parasympathetic nervous system (rest, digest, feed, breed).

๐Ÿฉป Weโ€™ll discuss theory, research, and cultural history of the art of pranayama (breath control) and have plenty of time to practice techniques.
