The South Alabama Jaguars is a club sport at the University of South Alabama located in Mobile, AL. The club is made up of student athletes from all types of backgrounds. Some having little to no previous rugby experience before playing their first match. The coaches at USA will work with each player to develope the fundamental skills required to play rugby. Player's safety is paramount, we teach
every player how to prepare their mind and body for 80 minutes of full contact rugby. A lot like a boxer trains for a fight, we get your body ready to hit and be hit. Through intense training sessions and fun ball handling drills you'll enjoy learning a new sport and making new friends along the way. The bond you and your new teammates forge will long outlast the years you spent playing together in college. Not only will you learn about rugby you'll travel throughout the confernce (Deep South Rugby Conference) and meet and play other club teams from the conference for a chance to advance to a national championship. For more info about playing club rugby visit Randy Hunter's office in the Student Rec. Center, or just come out to a practice. There is not a tryout, and everyone who joins the club will play.
