Congrats 🎉 to Board Chair Vareva Harris and the Executive Board led by Everette Pearsall of the National Alliance of African American Athletes (NAAAA) on hosting the 33rd Watkins Award Gala Weekend! Jameis Winston served as this year’s keynote speaker, wonderfully introduced by Coach Otis Leverette, while 6🔥AMAZING🔥 African American scholar-athletes were spotlighted! Malik Washington was ultimately chosen as the ☄️2025 Standard Bearer☄️and will be playing for the University of Maryland’s Terps 🏈 Football Team in the Fall of 2025!) Coach Knight (Chair) and Dr. Belle (Board Member) will continue to drive the NAAAA’s movement by supporting scholar-athletes for the Orlando, Florida Chapter!
