My Google Play Store apps were offline for several weeks due to a Google Policy that required re-verification of all developer's identities .. my driver's license had expired and it took a little while to get that resolved.

Testing on iPhone and iPad is via the Apple TestFlight app thta is available in the Apple App Store .. the TestFlight app lets you manage what you are testing on your iOS devices .. it captures crashes and insulates your device from any damage or corruption.

The RC Pylon Suppliers apps and website have no permissions to see your data on your device .. they can be considered harmless.

I have put the limited Beta Version 0.0.4 of the Android RC Pylon Suppliers app into "Open Testing" on Google Play Store even though it doesn't have a lot of the content in it .. I need people to try it on any Android devices they have .. it is very safe and cannot hurt your phone or see any of your data on your phone.

I don't think Facebook can show this, but you should be able to click on the link .. it may take a little time for Google Play Store to have it fully available .. if you can, please click on the link even if you're not an Android user and let me know if you can see the page on Google Play Store or not .. I'm still learning the testing features that are available in the Google Play Console that weren't there when I started publishing Android apps in 2012.

If you're not a software developer, you might not get the thrill of this for me.

It is based on my framework for creating websites and mobile apps and desktops from the same codebase with only minor changes for different platforms .. my framework is based on Microsoft .NET Blazor and Blazor Hybrid on MAUI .. Multi-platform App UI .. I've been working on it since September of 2022 .. it runs on Android, Windows, iPhone, iPad, and macOS.

I've contributed recommendations and code to the Blazor and MAUI teams at Microsoft .. anyone using Blazor or MAUI is using code I developed .. there were a number of bugs in those frameworks I investigated and squashed with fixes or new code .. so this is far more for me than just my own app(s).

This is like a maiden on a plane one has been designing and working on most weeks for almost 3 years.

I should have it on the Apple App Store in beta this week or next week depending on Apple's approval for beta releases.

I’ll also have it one the Amazon Appstore on Android soon to support users of Amazon Fire Tablets.

I need Android, iPhone, and iPad testers .. even if you have an old iPhone, iPad, or tablet without cell service, you can have them in action for testing by just hooking up to Wi-Fi.

The testing website is identical to the mobile apps except for what I do with the status bar at the top and navigation bar at the bottom .. it can be accessed on most any browser .. I don’t have the website, or the Android app fully tested or working properly on TV browsers .. when I get Android TV support fully working on Android TV’s, the Android app will appear in the Google Play Store on TV’s.

I’m integrating the real content into the test app and those changes get pushed to the testing web site quicker than they are published to the mobile and desktop app stores.

I have an announcement … It’s exciting for me at the least.

I now have the RC Pylon Suppliers test Android App on Google Play Store .. you can become a tester by sending me the Gmail email address you signed into your Android phone, tablet or other Android device with and use on the Google Play Store .. there are currently close to 100 Internal Tester slots available .. after I get the rest of the real app integrated with the test app, I will go to Open Testing where the number or testers is unlimited.

I worked long into Sunday morning and only slept about 6-7 hours .. at some point on Sunday evening, I started working on deploying the RC Pylon Suppliers Android app to the Google Play Store as an “Internal Tester” release.

I have never deployed a Microsoft .NET Blazor Hybrid MAUI app to either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store .. of course I have deployed native Android apps to the Google Play Store .. that was using APK files which used to be the only format allowed on Play .. Google now has a “bundle” that is called an AAB file .. it contains more installation information, and more information for Google, plus some other things .. it requires a more secure “Keystore” than the older ones like I had generated.

I had to work through the proper creation of both APK and AAB files in Visual Studio 2022 (VS2022) which is the development environment I’m using for the Blazor Hybrid app development and testing .. I can actually develop and deploy to iPhone, iPad, and macOS in VS2022 with it paired to a Mac over the local network .. my Mac Mini M4 is much, much faster than my old MacBook Air Early 2015 with the somewhat hacked macOS Sequoia on it .. I had to have Sequoia to be able to deploy to iOS 17 & 18.

Here are screenshots from the process of installing as a tester .. plus a few screenshots from me getting it deployed after fixing the “too weak” keystore problem .. and at the end, very wide screenshots of my Windows desktop spread across the three 32” 4K monitors I use on both my Windows 11 machine and have the Mac Mini M4 using properly as well.

I’m relocating the Mac Mini to the other side of the monitors because I don’t actually have to touch it other than for power and I’m doing something so I can turn its power on and off via a Wi-Fi Smart Switch for AC power .. with it set to power on after a power loss, I won’t even have to touch it unless I’m reconfiguring the hardware to add something like ThunderBolt or USB or USB-C 3/4 external storage.

If you don’t have any Android devices, you can get to the test website via ..https://rcpylonsuppliersblazor.azurewebsites.net it is effectively the same user experience as the mobile apps .. but the mobile apps can operate without an internet connection when needed .. that’s one reason for having a website and companion mobile and desktop apps.

I had two remaining items I had to get done before I could get the RC Pylon Suppliers mobile apps updated to Google Play Store and the Apple Apps Store.

One was the icon for the home screens .. in Blazor Hybrid apps and MAUI apps, there is a mandatory "Splash" screen presented to the user while the app is loading and getting readied for use.

I got those done one Saturday night or Sunday morning .. here are some screenshots of what I'm talking about.

Going with a simple yellow background was more expedient and I can change these before the final initial production release or even in a later production release .. I would like them to have my yellow to fluorescent red gradient I use in the app.

Right now the priority is user testing and finalizing the new content over what I had in the initial 2022-2023 website release.

Part of my reason for focusing on this is that I have products for pylon racing in progress and approaching production release .. users will have access to information on other products and when mine are ready, the mechanism to spread the word will already be there .. kinda like my global distribution network with Amazon covering a lot of the world, my Ozon.ru in Russia, and soon Alibaba for other parts of the world is built and ready for heavy distribution of model airplane and hobbyist products.

Here are screenshots of the RC Pylon Suppliers Android app with it running on a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 running Android version 15 .. the odd ones are with the phone closed and the even ones are with the phone opened up.

The screenshots should be alternating between Closed and Open if everything works the way it’s supposed to .. the plane / product photos are not sized yet because I have to do some database, web service, local data caching, and layout work .. these plane pages are hand coded while I work out the layout elements .. like on my local product pages, there will be a Description and other information added .. I have that in the database and just wanted to get the app to where I can upload it to the Google Play Store as an Internal Tester version .. the other updates are internal and will not matter to Google.

I should be getting started on the beta process for the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad within a week or so .. I had to tear down the new Mac Mini M4 setup to get it out of the way .. I have to finish getting the worktable across from the monitors cleared off so I can get it nestled up to the area behind and under the monitors .. I’m planning to put my Creality Ender 3 V2 3D Printer together on Sunday so I can start 3D printing various holders and drawers including under table drawers and shelves to get my desk well optimized for mobile, desktop, and web development on the Windows 10 and 11 machines and the Mac Mini M4 .. I may have mobility issues, but I’m just flat out rippin’ on things that don’t require a lot of physical mobility and strength.

I think I’m gonna fly some RealFlight Evolution this evening and maybe even some Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 .. I want to hop in the Voodoo P-51 or Miss America P-51 Unlimited’s and take some laps around Reno Stead Airport from the Reno Racing Pack Bundle I got a while back.

One thing I've been working on is the new RC Pylon Suppliers website and mobile apps .. the mobile apps are ready to deploy when I get the content on the web site .. that's where the mobile apps get their content from .. the Android app will be released first as the Android approval process is quicker than the Apple release process .. I will be using beta, aka Internal Testing, before the apps are released for general installation from the app stores .. I'll let you all know when the mobile beta testing process starts.

The only page on Vendors at the moment with content is the CMADRacing page at https://rcpylonsuppliersblazor.azurewebsites.net/cmadracing and it currently only has two planes listed.

If you go to the Ninja page at https://rcpylonsuppliersblazor.azurewebsites.net/cmadracing_ninja on a phone , the image will not currently be sized properly

There is a diagnostic page at https://rcpylonsuppliersblazor.azurewebsites.net/screensize that shows the screen size information . as you resize the pages like the diagnostic page or the home screen, the format will change to adapt to available screen space .. I've got more done than I can release on the test site currently.

The hospitalization for the left leg infection the week of April 28th cost me a week of productivity on some things like this and the repaint of the RealFlight Evolution Little Toni as I had no access to my main desktop while in the hospital .. I've been catching up since then as well as getting my house more wheelchair accessible.

There is one "bug" in that on screen orientation and size changes, the menu may open or close unexpectedly .. I'm working on that .. it's the only real framework issue remaining.

I've been playing with drop shadows and colors to make the pages a little more interesting .. the titles are yellow with a reddish orange drop shadow .. the colors may be too dramatic for some, but this is for pylon racers .. I will likely have a toned down color scheme as an option at some point.

My reason for posting this now is to get feedback, good, bad, or ugly .. criticism on this level of software development doesn't hurt my feelings at all .. really criticism of my software and UI/UX design never hurts my feelings, especially when I'm pushing the edges .. this is pushing some edge with the color scheme for sure . some will like it and some will hate it.

As I finalize things, the test site will be changing .. when it goes to the real link name, it will be "In Release".
