Every practice. Every bruise. Every tournament.
Every early morning . Every late night. Every swing. Every pitch.

It all led to this moment.

This team didn't just win a championship...They finished what they started.

To these players: you believed. To the coaches: you prepared. To the parents: you sacrificed.

🌿 National Parks & Recreation Month 2026 — The Power of Nature 🌿
This week, we’re celebrating The Power of Nature, one of NRPA’s highlighted themes for National Park & Recreation Month. Nature restores, inspires, and connects us — and this weekend’s DYB World Series was the perfect example of that spirit in action.

Our players spent the entire weekend out in the elements — battling extreme heat, high humidity, and constant sunshine — yet they continued to give their absolute best. Their dedication, strength, and teamwork truly showed the power of being outdoors and pushing forward together.

To every player who stepped onto the field:
We sincerely hope you had an amazing time, made great memories, and felt proud of all you accomplished. We’re incredibly proud of you and grateful to witness your hard work and love for the game.

Here’s to nature, resilience, and every young athlete who showed us what this week’s theme is all about. 🌞⚾💚

Congratulations to our Alabama representatives for an incredible showing at the 9U Regional World Series Championship!

These young athletes, along with their coaches and families, competed with tremendous heart, sportsmanship, and determination all week long. Having two Alabama teams battle it out for the championship is a testament to the outstanding baseball being played across our state.

We’re incredibly proud of both teams for representing Alabama DYB with class and excellence. Congratulations to Troy on bringing home the championship, and hats off to Dothan National for an outstanding tournament run.

Alabama was well represented, and the future of baseball in our state is bright!

🌟 What a night at the Diamond Youth Baseball 2026 World Series Opening Ceremony! 🌟

Yesterday, the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl was bursting with energy as over 30 teams and more than 500 players, coaches, and families arrived in Montgomery from Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and right here in Alabama! ⚾️🎉

Our City of Montgomery Parks & Recreation team, along with our incredible maintenance crews and the hardworking Multiplex staff, created an unforgettable baseball‑themed celebration. From festive centerpieces to bouncy houses, a coloring station, gourmet hamburgers & hot dogs, team trading pins, and Blue Bell Ice Cream for dessert — this team truly went above and beyond to create a magical atmosphere.

Each team took the field for introductions, and the excitement was contagious. One player even shouted, “There’s fans in the stands for us!” 💙🔥

Yes, the rain made group photos tricky (and we sincerely apologize for that!), and some competitions were rained out — but the fun never stopped. Families and friends filled the stands with joy and support, making the night one to remember.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who braved the weather, and to our dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to make this event shine. Thanks also to Mayor Steven Reed , council members Julie Beard, Franetta Riley, and others who joined us.
