Former Gov and current Troy second baseman Sean Darnell is making his presence known out in Omaha at the College World Series.

In the Trojans’ two games, Sean is 5 for 6 with a pair of doubles and a home run. He has 5 RBI with 4 of those coming in the Trojans’ 12-8 win over Ole Miss on Sunday.

Sean and the Trojans take on West Virginia today at 1 PM.

Northeast Alabama Community College Athletics pitcher Addie Edwards is the 2026 recipient of the annual Alabama Sports Writers Association award, recognizing the Community College Athlete of the Year!

Edwards, a freshman, went 34-0 with a 1.12 ERA this past season, across 211.2 innings pitched. She recorded 219 strikeouts and issued only 35 walks. She added three saves as the Mustangs won the 2026 NJCAA Division I World Series!

Dominant pitcher Addie Edwards named ASWA Community College Athlete of Year Edwards was 34-0 with an earned run average of 1.12 across 211.2 innings pitched this season on the way to being named Community College Athlete of the Year.
