Congratulations to our Capital City Heat girls playing on Montgomery Gray for winning the Dixie Softball Darlings World Series in epic fashion in Belleview, Fl! We are so proud of you girls!!!

WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!! 🏆🥎

What a ride. What a team. What a finish.

After dropping our very first game of the tournament, these girls did exactly what they’ve done all summer, they fought. They battled back and won five straight games, finishing the World Series 5–1 and saving their biggest fight for the very end.

Bottom of the 4th inning, Louisiana was up 5–0. But these girls NEVER gave up. They kept fighting, kept believing, and kept finding a way. Little by little, they battled their way back, tied the game, forced extra innings, and completed an unbelievable comeback to win 6–5 and become WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!🏆

The heart, determination, and fight in these girls is something special. They represented Alabama with everything they had, and now they’re bringing that World Series Championship home. ♥️🤍

The Heat was back in action at the USSSA regional tourney at Lagoon Park yesterday! We had a war in our first game against Wetumpka Impact and fell a run short at the end. Battled back and got the 18-3 win over AC Lightning from Alex City. Went into bracket play and got the 11-8 win against 330 Pike Road after being down 6-0 in the first. Moved into the Gold Bracket and battled until the end against Dem Girlz falling short 9-14. Dem Girlz went on to win the tourney. These girls battled, never waivered and had a blast balling all day!!!

The Heat is back at it this Saturday at Lagoon Park!! Let’s goooooo!!

Big Time Players show up in Big Time Moments and our tournament MVP did just that!!! All day she had the outfield locked down! At the plate she was on 🔥!!! Down by 2 in extra innings and she steps up to the plate and hits one 200 to the fence for an inside the park 2 run homer to tie the game and set up the go ahead win! We are so proud of you Ky’Mora!!! Congratulations on earning the Tournament MVP!!!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
