Our final Senior spotlight of the week, #9 Isabelle Mott 🤍 From the time she was little, Izzy has had a light about her that naturally draws people in. She was curious, adventurous, a little mischievous, and usually right beside one of us asking questions and wanting to help with whatever we were doing. She never wanted to just watch—she wanted to learn how to do it herself.

That same curiosity and drive are still a huge part of who she is. When something sparks Izzy’s interest, she throws herself into it and gives it her all. She started piano young after we realized she could play by ear at seven, and music grew into one of her greatest passions and talents. She went on to play first-chair trumpet in band and jazz band, along with drums and percussion. Her interests have taken her everywhere from snowmobiles and fishing to gymnastics, dirt bikes, snowboarding, operating heavy machinery, and more. When something catches her attention, she wants to learn how it works, figure it out for herself, and see how far she can take it.

She brings that same intensity to softball—at one point playing on three different travel teams at once, pitching, playing first base, and even wanting to learn catcher and other infield positions that lefties almost never play. True to who she is, “lefties don’t play there” seems to translate in Izzy’s brain as, “bet.” 😄 More recently, her curiosity has also led her toward cosmetology and the medical field.

Izzy is funny, independent, creative, intelligent, and determined—and somehow makes math look annoyingly easy. She works hard at the things she cares about and understands that growth comes through practice, consistency, and perseverance. Softball has been one of the places we’ve watched her competitiveness, work ethic, resilience, and determination grow. She doesn’t just enjoy trying new things; she genuinely loves discovering what she is capable of.

But more than any talent or accomplishment, we are most proud of her heart. Izzy is deeply compassionate and loyal. She notices people, thinks deeply, asks thoughtful questions, and genuinely tries to understand rather than judge. She has a natural way of making others feel seen, included, encouraged, and valued, often without even realizing the impact she’s having. She also has a quiet kind of leadership about her. People know they can count on her, and her presence often brings out the best in those around her.

She is strong, completely herself, and still carries that same laughter and energy that has filled our home since she first came into it. We are so proud of the young woman she has become and can’t wait to see where her curiosity, determination, humor, talent, and huge heart take her next.

✨Next up, Senior #15, Arianna Mora 🤍 Ari has always been a natural-born leader. Whether she is competing as an athlete, excelling as a scholar in the classroom, or being a sister at home, she leads with passion, determination, and admirable grit. Her quirky sense of humor keeps everyone constantly laughing, anybody who truly knows her will find there is never a dull moment when she is around.

Ari’s athletic ability has allowed her to excel in everything she has pursued. As a young athlete, she was part of Black Canyon Volleyball Club, MYGB, and the Montrose Warhawks. She also participated in school track and field and even played a season of soccer. Although basketball seemed to be her greatest talent, she eventually chose to focus on softball. In recent years her competitive softball coaches played a significant role in helping her find the joy in playing the game again, reigniting her passion and talent, ultimately leading her to the Colorado Hype Loya 18U competitive softball family.
Of course, natural talent and success can sometimes come with challenges. Ari has faced many moments of adversity and hostility not only from opponents but from coaches as well. Still, she never allowed those experiences to stop her. Instead, they pushed her to become stronger, mentally tougher, a better teammate, and an even more determined athlete.

Those challenges also helped shape her compassionate heart for the underdog—for anyone who may feel overlooked, underestimated, or less powerful. Ari is never afraid to stand up for the little guy or for the person at the bottom of the totem pole. She stands up for what is right with courage, compassion, and a heart full of love. You want an Ari in your corner!

With a heart like hers, it is no surprise that Ari has chosen to pursue a career in nursing, with the dream of eventually specializing in pediatric nursing. We know that the same ambition and dedication she brings to the softball field, the classroom, and our home will one day make her an incredible nurse.

Ari, we are so proud of the young woman you are becoming. Keep being your true, authentic self. Your strength, passion, empathetic heart, determination, and sense of humor are what make you so special.

We will always be your biggest fans, cheering you on through every inning, every accomplishment, every challenge, and every goal you have.
We love you more than words could ever say!
