Mays Motorcycle in Mooresville, NC was built from a lifelong passion for motorcycles and the people who ride them. What started as a love for working on bikes and helping fellow riders has grown into a shop focused on honest service, quality workmanship, and keeping motorcycles running the way they should.

At Mays Motorcycle, every bike is treated with care and respect as if it was our own whether it’s a daily rider, an adventure bike, dual sport a classic project, or the bike you’ve trusted for years. I believe motorcycle service should be straightforward, transparent, and done right the first time. No shortcuts, no unnecessary upsells just solid mechanical work and clear communication.

Honda’s true classic dual-sport is back where it belongs — running strong and ready for dirt roads, fire trails, and around-town cruising. Customer is taking this one to Vintage days at Mid Ohio this coming July.

This 1983 Honda XL250 came in for service to keep it reliable and true to its original, go-anywhere character.
This lightweight dual-sport is known for its simplicity and durability, and when maintained right, they’re still just as fun decades later. Fires up on the second kick and is now ready to show off.

Customer CRF300L Total Performance Build Complete

Customer wanted to see exactly what the CRF300L is capable of, so we went with a full performance setup from top to bottom.

The build includes a big bore kit, high-flow velocity tube, camshaft upgrade, and a matched ECU performance tune to tie everything together. Each component was chosen to work as a system, improving airflow, power delivery, and overall rideability. Added 9HP and 6ft lbs of tourque.

The result is a bike with noticeably stronger torque, quicker throttle response, and a much more aggressive yet smooth powerband compared to stock. It pulls harder through the midrange and feels more responsive everywhere — Its now a fire road and off-road weapon.

Another customer build wrapped up and ready to ride. If you’re looking to unlock the true potential of your bike, a setup like this delivers.

🛠️ 2008 Yamaha Stratoliner – Service Update! 🛠️
1854cc What!!!!

We just finished a full round of upgrades and maintenance on this 2008 Yamaha Stratoliner, and it’s running better than ever.

• 🔧 Front & rear brake flush
• 🔧 New spark plugs installed
• 🔧 Performance Machine front brake caliper & new pads
• 🔧 Air filter replacement
• 🔧 Oil change
• 💡 Added LED lighting upgrades along with USB charging port

This Stratoliner is dialed in with fresh maintenance, improved braking performance, and brighter visibility.

Always great having these big cruisers in the shop

BAJA READY!!! We just wrapped up a full 430cc big bore conversion on this Suzuki DR-Z400 along with other key mods and the results turned out excellent. This upgrade replaces the stock 398cc setup with a 94mm piston and plated cylinder, giving the engine stronger low-end torque and smoother midrange power while keeping factory-level reliability. 434cc Cylinder Works Big Bore kit.
DRZ now starts clean, runs smooth, and delivers noticeably stronger power throughout the lower and midrange. No leaks, no abnormal noise—just a solid, reliable performance upgrade.
