Lake Norman Wrestling Club

A few Lake Norman wrestlers began the Olympic styles season at the Tar Heel State Classic at Chapel Hill HS.

Keyshon Morrison won both freestyle & Greco at the JR 285-pound weight class. The championships qualify Keyshon for the USA Wrestling freestyle/greco National Tournament in Fargo, ND.

Gabby Gibson finished in 2nd at the 16u girls 125-pound weight class.

Alysa Tepedino was also a runner-up. She competed in her first ever freestyle tournament at 16u 110-pounds.

A handful of LNWC wrestlers competed this weekend, one day after the NCHSAA State Tournament.

A few LNWC youth wrestlers and Lake Norman Wildcat Wrestling HS athletes attended the David Carr clinic and Davidson College Wrestling vs Purdue whiteout dual on Sunday.

Due to the LNHS home dual we will have practices on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday this week.

We would love it if all our youth wrestlers came out to support the high school team on Thursday evening.

Wrestling begins at 5pm.

Our home opener is this Thursday at 5pm!!!

Come out to watch the Wildcats as we wrestle Stuart Cramer & Hunter Huss.

We’re practicing Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday this week from 6:15-7:45pm.

Our parent meeting will be immediately following Tuesday’s practice.
