Growth starts where comfort ends. I asked if she wanted to increase the speed, and she immediately said yes. You don't build confidence by staying comfortable—you build it by proving to yourself you can do hard things. Proud of her for taking on the challenge. 💪

This video is about so much more than hitting. 💖🥎

When we first started working together, confidence was one of the biggest things we needed to build. She cared so much and wanted to do well, but sometimes the challenge wasn't her swing—it was believing in herself.

Her mom told me she used to walk up to the plate with her "shoulders practically touching her ears" because she was so nervous. Fast forward to today, and she's her team's leadoff hitter, stepping into the box with her head held high and confidence she has truly earned through hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

One of my favorite changes has been seeing how she approaches challenges. Instead of hesitation or doubt, she now meets every new drill with a confident, "Okay, got it," and gets right to work.

At just 9 years old, her swing looks amazing, but what makes me the proudest is the confidence she's built along the way. Watching her growth has been so fun, and this is only the beginning. 💕

The pitch changed speeds, but her mechanics didn’t. 💥

Rather than drifting forward, she stayed anchored into her front side, controlled her move, and delivered the barrel on time. A great example of balance and adjustability against an off-speed pitch. 🙌

We are excited to welcome Madeline Modica to the Arena LKN family! Coach Madeline brings 15 years of experience as both a competitive player and coach. A former Division II softball player at Converse University, she earned numerous honors including:

• NFCA Scholar Athlete Recognition
• CSC Academic All-District Selection (2023 & 2024)
• Defensive MVP 2024
• All-American Conference Carolina’s Defensive Selection (2023 & 2024)

Coaching Areas Include:
Hitting: Develop explosive bat speed, refine swing mechanics, improve pitch recognition, and build a winning mental approach at the plate.

Catching: Sharpen throw-down mechanics, pitch framing, blocking techniques, and game awareness to control every aspect behind the plate.

Overall Defense: Perfect your positioning, footwork, and glove skills for both infield and outfield. Learn defensive strategies that turn great plays into routine ones.

Mental Coaching: Develop a reframed mindset with intentional mental training designed to sharpen focus, build resilience, and unlock new skills quickly.

Coach Madeline blends her technical softball expertise with a strong background in Psychology and Child & Family Studies, offering a well-rounded training approach. Her focus on both skill development and mental toughness helps athletes build confidence, resilience, and focus. With a leadership style that motivates and inspires, Coach Madeline strives to help players achieve their full potential and succeed on and off the field.
