Lucas started in 2nd, and was spun by another car twice, putting him in the back on both restarts, narrowly avoided two wrecks, and ran a race that should’ve lasted less than 6 minutes… but he was out there for 33 minutes… 🙃 But he never gave up and battled hard to get his best-ever finish in Senior Honda!!!

Big tha to our new NGQMA - North Georgia Quarter Midget Association friends enough for their kindness and hospitality, Flash Products for taking care of our motor this off season and giving us this power, and all of our North Carolina Quarter Midget Association (NCQMA) friends for being family to us. This was our first travel race ever and we didn’t know what to expect but our friends made it feel like we were back at home with all of the love and support around us. We cant thank Ultimate QM enough as well, they are always so helpful, and they teally take the time to teach us, we couldn’t be more proud to drive this amazing X-Wing! We appreciate you all more than you know!!! Also a huge thanks to the hardest working guy out there, Mr. Engstrom, you are an all-star in every way always jumping in to help, you’re appreciated more than you know!

Major congratulations to our friends Little E Racing for his victory (thanks for the GREAT advice earlier in the day!) and Andrew Salazar Racing for his p2 finish, almost had ya! 😉 We couldn’t be more proud to race alongside such strong drivers and kind kids for Lucas to learn from!

We captured our first flag of the season!!! 🏁

Lucas got the pole for his heat race a pill-draw, and was in 2nd of 4 car for most of the race. The leader didn’t get too far out from us but Lucas took his time to hit his marks and close the gap, and with 3 laps to go he made the pass for the lead like a pro and won the race!!!!

It started off a little scary when his motor wouldn’t fire, it was just so cold, but we’re thankful to the Salazars and other families who helped push Lucas until he got going.

Now we’re in a little break until the A-main this afternoon! 🏁

Come out on Saturday, February 28th to drive a quarter midget! Try it out to see if you want to join this amazing racing family, or just do it for a fun thing to do on a beautiful Saturday!! Anyone ages 5-16 is welcome to come and give it a try, all safety equipment is provided! Kids go turn some laps, then are stopped to be given some tips and advice, then are pushed off to rip some more laps!

Our first race of the year is TOMORROW!!! We’re on the road and excited to try a new track for the very first time!

Lucas will hit the track for the first time since OCTOBER tonight when we get in a few practice laps to shake the car down. He cant wait to be back at the track and see some familiar faces!!! 🏁

🚨Announcement!!📢

Our season is officially kicking off a tad earlier than we planned!!!

We will make the drive tomorrow from NC ➡ GA to join the NGQMA racers for their first race of the season! Lucas has never raced at another track before, and he's so excited to get back in the seat!

This plan came together last-minute. Dad has been busy at the shop getting ready for his race season to start, and it was only going to happen if the car could come together in time. We had to make some big changes in the off-season to it, so a lot of work had to be done. It might not look pretty on the right side (the right side vinyl will be here shortly after we leave tomorrow 🙃) but as of 8pm last night, the car is back together and we officially signed up for our first ever travel race!!!

We don't know much about this track as we've never been there before, so keep an eye out on this page for updates!
