MonStarz 8u Softball

🥎 Motown Monstarz 8u Softball will be moving up to 9u in September! 🥎

We're looking for motivated young ladies who love the game, work hard, and want to continue developing their skills in a positive team environment.

As we prepare for the upcoming 9u season, we're inviting interested players to join us at some open practices. All positions are welcome and considered. Pitchers will be prioritized. Players must be ready for 9u/10u rules.

If your athlete is ready to learn, compete, and be part of a great group of teammates, we'd love to meet you!

*Player must be 9 years old or younger on August 31, 2026*

📅 Dates/Times: 6-8pm - Wednesday June 10th & Weds June 24th (more dates coming)

Monstarz 8u will be back in action this weekend, playing in Hurricane, WV. Pool play will begin Saturday. We then start bracket play Sunday morning. Wish us luck and we encourage everyone to come support! If you can't be there, remember to follow us on Game Changer to watch the games live! 🖤💚

What a weekend in Wellston, Ohio for our Monstarz 8U girls! These girls finished the tournament a perfect 5-0, bringing home their FIRST tournament championship! 🖤💚

This team hit the ball hard, played some incredible defense, and ran the bases as well as they ever have. Every week, you can see the growth, confidence, and teamwork getting stronger. The hard work, focus, and countless hours of practice are truly paying off.

For these girls, this was something completely new. They had never played 5 games in one day before. By the end, they were exhausted, sore, and running on pure heart… but they never gave up. They fought through the fatigue, stayed locked in, and found a way to win 💪🥎

We could not be more proud of the grit these girls showed all weekend long. This weekend meant so much to the kids because they earned every bit of it. Also, this is this groups first softball tourny championship win.

And of course, after all that hard work, the girls got to celebrate with a hotel stay, swimming, and a pizza party after bringing home the big win! 🍕🏊‍♀️🎉 They even convinced their tired, old coaches to jump in the pool 😂

We are so proud of this group and excited to keep watching them grow. The Monstarz are getting better every single week. This feels like just the beginning! Way to go ladies, be proud of yourselves!

This weekend, in the middle of tournament softball, we took a moment to celebrate some very special people, our incredible Monstarz moms 💐

Behind every player is a mom (or bonus mom!) cheering loudly, packing bags, fixing hair, doing eyeblack, calming nerves, celebrating wins, wiping tears, and making countless sacrifices to help these girls chase the game they love. To show just a small piece of our appreciation, the girls surprised their moms with custom written softballs and handwritten cards to remind them how loved and appreciated they truly are. We are so thankful for the amazing women who help make this team feel like a family. Your love, support, and dedication does not go unnoticed.
Happy Mother’s Day to the best softball moms around. The Monstarz are lucky to have you!

The 8U Monstarz came up a little short in the championship game today, but these girls absolutely played their butts off from start to finish. We are so proud of the heart, hustle, and fight they showed all weekend long. We learned a lot, battled through adversity, and most importantly kept getting better every single inning.

This team continues to improve week after week, and that’s what makes this group special. The growth, confidence, and toughness these girls are building is showing every time they step on the field.

2nd place is something to be proud of, but we’re not done yet. We will keep working and learning along our journey towards a 1st place trophy. The future is bright for the Monstarz! 🖤💚🏆

What a GREAT day for the Monstarz 8U! 🖤💚

The girls came out ready and took care of business in both pool play games today, battling past a tough, energetic Smash squad 13-11 and then followed it up with a huge 15-2 win over the Lady Dukes! So proud of how these girls kept their nerves to a minimum and their energy to the maximum. They hit way better today and fielded well, proving their hard work is paying off.

It was the perfect day for softball with amazing weather and great ballfield vibes. After the games, the girls even got to enjoy a fun Easter egg hunt at the fields. Today was a great day for these special young ladies!

Pool play continues tomorrow at 2:00pm against the Misfits, and then it’s time for bracket play. Wish these girls luck as they keep the momentum rolling—hopefully we can bring home that first championship! 🖤💚🏆🥎

The Monstarz 8U girls got together tonight for a fun team spaghetti dinner before they hit the field tomorrow! 🍝🥎

Nothing better than good food, big laughs, and team bonding the night before game day. These girls have been preparing well and are ready to roll into pool play tomorrow in Clarksburg, WV at 12 noon and 1:20 PM.

The players are excited to compete, have fun, and hopefully kick some butt tomorrow as a team 💚🖤
