Last week was stop #2 of the Bassmaster College Series at Santee Cooper lakes, the boys had a great time up in the swamp and caught some big girls! Our fundraiser tournament at Stonewall Jackson Lake was a cold one, but some of the boys still caught them pretty good! Wil Dieffenbauch and Bryson Grimes took first with 5 fish for 15.86 lbs and Connor Westerman and Brian Westerman took 2nd place with 4 fish for 15.34 lbs and a big fish of 5.84. Thank you for everyone who came out and supported the team, and thank you to all of our sponsors as well!

Stonewall tournament SUNDAY! See y’all there

On March 29th, the WVU Fishing team will be holding a fundraiser tournament launching out of Vandalia ramp on Stonewall Jackson lake in Weston WV.

Entry fee is $100 with an optional $10 big fish side pot.
Registration starts at 6am and blast off will be at 7am.

Boats are due in by 3pm. Boat numbers will randomly be drawn at registration. Practice prior to the tournament is allowed.
75% pay out of all entry fees. The other 25% will be going towards travel costs for the teams upcoming tournaments.

All proceeds from this raffle go directly toward team expenses, including travel, tournament fees, equipment, and other costs incurred during the year. Your support helps the team continue to represent West Virginia University at the highest level.
