Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to return home to the Spring Creek/Elko area and recruit at the Swing Science Showcase. Coming back to the community and field that helped shape my own journey made this trip especially meaningful.

What makes it even better is that we’re excited to welcome one of those athletes to the Viking family.

Karli is not only a talented athlete, but also an exceptional student and an even better person. Her work ethic, resilience, and determination allow her to overcome adversity and continue improving every day. She competes hard, carries herself the right way, and does whatever it takes to help her team succeed. The combination of her athletic ability, academic success, and character make her a perfect fit for Big Bend. We can’t wait to get Karli on campus and watch her continue to grow both on and off the field. 💚🥎

Please welcome Coach Hannah Baesler to the Vikings coaching staff and family!
Coach Baesler is originally from Thornton, CO. Coach Baesler played softball at Western Nebraska Community College and Doane University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree (Coach Rizo and Coach Baesler actually competed against each other in college!). In coach’s free time she likes to take her dogs for hikes.
Fun fact about Coach Baesler: She played baseball from ages 4-16 and tried out for the WPBL!
