Friends, are you carrying your mountains or climbing them?

The world waits in darkness for the light that is you. ✨✨✨

Merry Christmas my friends! Sometimes it is easier to see the light in others than it is to see the light in ourselves. I pray you see and feel your own light shining, and that you allow the light of others to shine upon you.

This was just what I needed this morning. Take 30 seconds to calm your mind and body...and just breathe.

Friends! I have a possible line on space for our class. We previously had class Tuesday at 4:30, and Thursday at 4:30 and 5:45. With my work schedule the way it is right now, I wouldn't be able to do class until 5 at the earliest. I am looking at Monday's and Thursday's. Possibilities include a 5:00 or 5:15 class, and a 6:15 or 6:30 class. Shout out in the comments what would work best for you if you're interested!!!

Fill your own cup, friends! Thinking of you always! ❤️

Create self-reliance. Fill your own cup. Your cup isn’t filled from your kids' accomplishments or your spouse giving you a pat on the back or more affection. Don’t wait for a promotion, or the calendar to turn another year to be happier. Find happiness in yourself. It’s a constant. It’s a given. It’s innately who you are. You just have to slow down your mind long enough to be able to re-experience it. Start from this place every day. Ideally, fill your own cup. Then take that happiness and contentment, and creativity that abounds from it, and share it with the world.

Take responsibility for your own happiness. Don’t wait for life to bring it to you. Become as self-reliant as possible. Practice is the key to this.

A VETERAN'S DAY YOGA CELEBRATION FROM FORT CAMPBELL, KENTUCKY 11/11/2016

❤️❤️❤️

Last month, I was invited to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, home of the 101st Airborne Division. The organization I collaborated with was Connected Warriors, whose mission is to teach proven Yoga techniques to military service members, veterans and their families, offering free classes at almost 100 locations nationwide, 7 Veterans Medical Centers, 4 Universities, 3 military bases, and 2 naval ships. Connected Warriors arranged for me to work with a variety of active duty soldiers, some of them having served over 25 years. Most of them had been deployed numerous times and many will be deployed again.

This was one of the most sobering, heartfelt and just plain awesome collaborations of my career, being in the presence of human beings willing to give their life in the name of service. It has been an honor to have gained their trust to tell their story. But that's not all. They too, add to their story, as each one of these humble warriors immediately sent me some writing from the heart to include with the work we created together, making this an immensely intimate and meaningful portfolio in celebration of Veterans on their day. I encourage you to hear each of their voices, and if inspired, share this album and spread the awareness that yoga heals.

P.S. If you are a yoga teacher or a studio owner, this is how you can support the 'Free Yoga for Vets Project.' This is a call to action for the month of November. It is not too late to begin and it does not just have to be for November.

Email [email protected] for a free tool kit to participate in this exciting, game changing project. Include 'VETERANS' in the subject. Get your studio on board with hundreds of others participating. You can start anytime. It's never too late.

You can also host a donation class for the The Give Back Yoga Foundation. Every $5 raised can fund a free Mindful Yoga Therapy practice guide for a veteran, and every $75 can sponsor a free Yoga Readiness Kit for an active duty service member. http://givebackyoga.org/give-back-yoga-november/

This has been life for me the last few months! Missing you all! ❤️

I always get so much out of Rod Stryker's thoughts. I will be doing this exercise. Join me?!

your self, your thinking, your breath. Missing you, friends! Still in search of a new location so we can get back to classes!!!

As our desire to expand and express more of our true Self increases, our ceiling of self-acceptance and self-love will be challenged. Stay on the path...with abhyasa (consistent effort) and vairagya (non-attachement).
