Happy 12th Birthday to Ellis “Big E Bombs)” Townes!

It’s hard to believe we’ve had Big E in the Tennessee Fusion family since he was 6 years old. Now he’s turning 12 and still wearing #28 with the same great attitude he’s always had.

Ellis loves Jesus, loves his family, and is one of the nicest, most respectful kids you’ll ever meet. Whether he’s playing baseball, suiting up for DCA football, cheering on the Vanderbilt Commodores, or rooting for the Atlanta Braves, he always represents himself and our team the right way.

We’re proud to have watched him grow up in our program and grateful he’s been part of the Fusion family since Day One.

Happy Birthday to our head coach, Josh Baker.

If there’s a new baseball gadget out there, Josh probably already bought it. Pitching machines, Mevo cameras, radar pockets, training tools nobody’s heard of yet… he’s always got the newest stuff.

And on top of that, he’s also the guy designing the jerseys, team swag, hoodies, hats, and making sure Tennessee Fusion always looks good doing it.

But more than any of the gear, what makes Josh special is how much he cares about the kids and this program. He puts a ton of time and energy into making Tennessee Fusion Baseball better for everyone involved, and we appreciate everything he does behind the scenes.

Hope you have a great birthday, Coach. Maybe take one day off from buying baseball equipment.

Tennessee Fusion had a weekend to remember in St. Louis.

We caught a Cardinals game, got to step onto a big league field, and then went out and went 4-0 to bring home a championship.

Even better than the wins — the whole crew was together. The siblings were having a blast, the boys were laughing, competing, and just enjoying being around each other the whole time. That’s the part that really stood out.

At the end of the day, it’s bigger than baseball with this group. It feels more like a family than anything else.

Proud of the boys and the weekend they put together. On to the next one.

Happy 12th birthday to #33 Zaid “Poppy” Butron!

Poppy’s been a no-fly zone in center field all season and loves throwing runners out at home. He’s also brought big-time pop at the plate with multiple home runs already this year. And of course, the only player rocking a mustache.

Happy birthday, Poppy — keep doing your thing.

Fresh cut, new swag, same awesome kid. Kroy’s bringing a whole new look this season, but what hasn’t changed is his great attitude, big-time sense of humor, and being one of the nicest teammates around.
