Mt. Pleasant boys volleyball looks to make a statement in the playoffs After a slow start while learning the game, they have won 18 of their last 21, including a win over third-ranked Sparta. Ending the regular season with a 26-8-2 overall record and ranked ninth in Division Two.

Rain has moved out and we are ready for the Kickin Cancer fundraiser soccer game with our cross town friends the Irish of Sacred Heart. Admissions is whatever donation amount you’d like. Delayed Kickoff is at 6:30 pm Come out and support our local student athletes and a great cause.

Come on out to Community Memorial Stadium on Monday, May 18th, at 6:00 PM, as MPHS varsity soccer plays SHA in their fourth annual Kickin’ Cancer fundraiser game. The teams will host a bake sale, sell T-shirts ($10 each) and have gift basket raffles. All proceeds will be donated to our local cancer charity, Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund. Congrats to the 4x100 Relay Team of Prosper Enehiroana, Noel Helm, Jack Mozurkewich and Zay McGinnis for qualifying for the State Meet yesterday. Zay also early qualified in the Long Jump as well. The MHSAA Div. 1 State meet will take place at Rockford HS on May 30th.

The calm before the storm…Mt. Pleasant Athletics is excited to host the Division 1 MHSAA Regional track meet today at Community Memorial Stadium. Over 400 athletes from 15 schools will be competing for their chance to make it to that state championships.
