💣 2ND TOURNAMENT RECAP — 9/12/26 💣
Gold Bracket Runner-Ups

We went 2-0 in pool play with wins over a tough Team NC Griffin, 11-8, and CSC Prospects, 12-2!
Home Runs: Ali Pyles, Maezy Morton, Eva Ross

Seeded 2nd in Gold Bracket

We faced Bandits NC Grey, a new team with A LOT of heart. Won 12-0
Then, with NO BREAK, we turned right around and played for the championship.

The gas light was definitely blinking at that point! Our girls were tired. The bats were there, but continued fielding errors gave them the win.

Top Gun Sports — Thank you for the amazing umpires! They bring the fun to our girls and let us heckled them for a laugh! It wouldn't be complete without our girls sharing snacks, getting hugs and laughs with them.

THE WORK YOU PUT IN

Good morning, Bombers!

Before you step onto that softball field today, I want you to stop and think about something...

LOOK HOW FAR YOU'VE COME.

You didn't just wake up one morning and become softball players.

You SHOWED UP. You WORKED. You GRINDED.

You practiced when you were tired.
You kept trying when something was hard.
You learned from your mistakes.
You listened to your coaches.
You encouraged each other.
And you kept coming back ready to get better.

THAT WORK MATTERS.

God sees the work that nobody else sees.
He sees you practicing that swing again and again.
He sees you running when your legs are tired.
He sees you trying that play one more time because you want to get better.

YOUR WORTH IS NOT FOUND IN A SCOREBOARD.

You are not worth more because you hit a home run.
You are not worth less because you strike out.
You are not worth more because you make the winning play.
And you are NEVER worth less because you make a mistake.
Your worth comes from God. ❤️

You were created by Him. You are loved by Him. You are valuable to Him.

So today, don't step onto that field trying to PROVE that you're good enough.

STEP ON THAT FIELD KNOWING YOU ARE ALREADY LOVED AND VALUED.

What a weekend for our girls! 💣 🩷

We went 2-0 in pool play with wins over the Flying Pigs (11-3) and Uwharrie Diamondbacks (13-2), with HOMERUNS from Eva Ross, Charlotte Tester, and TWO from Morgan Shaver!

As the #2 seed, we headed into the GOLD BRACKET and battled the Carolina Cardinals/Johnson, falling 11-14 in a hard-fought game. These girls were running on fumes but NEVER quit! They held their own to team who played all year and is moving up to 10U. 1 bad inning and they got us.

We walked away with 3RD PLACE OUT OF 16 TEAMS in the first tournament of the season. Its not about a trophy, this weekend was about coming together, trusting each other, and having FUN. We have plenty to work on, but we couldn’t be more proud of this group! Huge thanks to our amazing parents and friends, MP Lady Bombers 10u - Barrier for allowing Jules & Becca to play with us for what was their final 8U tournament & Coach Barrier for pitching!

GAME DAY READY DEVOTION FROM COACH WEEK 1
Our First Tournament

Good morning, Bombers!

Today is GAME DAY! 🎉 And before we step onto that field, I want you to remember something very important:

We are already proud of you.

Not because of how many hits you get.
Not because of how many runs you score.
Not because of whether you make every play.

We are proud of you because of who you are and because we have watched you WORK HARD to get here. ❤️

God has given each of you strength, courage, and a special purpose. When you feel nervous today, remember—you don't have to be perfect. You just have to give your best and trust God.

You WILL make mistakes.

You might strike out.
You might miss a ball.
You might make an error.
You might have a play that doesn't go the way you wanted.

But listen closely:

A mistake is something you DID. It is not who you ARE.

Don't hang your head. Don't let one play ruin your whole day.

Take a breath.
Say a little prayer.
Get back up.
And try again.

That's what strong girls do. 💪🏼

Today, let's remember 3 things:

💗 WORK HARD — Give everything you've got.

💗 HAVE FUN — Smile, laugh, cheer for your teammates, and enjoy this moment!

💗 HONOR GOD — Play with a good attitude, encourage others, and show everyone what it looks like to have Jesus in your heart.

And remember, Bombers:

You don't have to win every game to have a winning day.

A winning day is when you give your best, love your teammates, learn from your mistakes, and leave the field knowing you gave it everything you had.
