Somewhere along the way, women were told that midlife is when we should start slowing down, accepting the changes, and being grateful for whatever strength we have left.
Yeah, no. 😂
I’m 53, and I have zero interest in becoming a smaller, quieter, weaker version of myself just because I’ve had another birthday.
I want to lift heavy. I want to hike mountains. I want to carry my own damn suitcase. I want to be the woman who says, “I’ve got it,” and actually does.
And I want that for every woman I coach.
But here’s the part that might p**s a few people off: you don’t get stronger by starving yourself, doing endless cardio, and treating your body like it’s a problem to solve.
You get stronger by nourishing it, lifting weights, recovering, and showing up consistently. Not perfectly. Consistently.
Midlife is not your expiration date. It’s your opportunity to stop chasing skinny and start building a body that can carry you through the next 30 years.
And if someone thinks women our age should slow down?
They can watch us from the sidelines. 💪
What’s one thing you want to be stronger for in this next chapter?
