This landing is also known as the Wachesaw Landing.

The map is showing 4 trails that leave from of go past the Wacca Wache Marina. Review the post below to see more details about the trails.

This is a unique landing/marina because it has a great restaurant at it. Also it has a little food Shack. The are 10 parking slots near the launch area and 102 parking spots in a remote parking lot. You do not have to walk your kayak up/down to the remote parking lot. You can unload near the ramp, then you can drive up the street to park. It has 3 hard surfaced launch area with a dock that you can tie up to..

The landing is about 119 miles from the dam according to the Waccamaw River Blue Trail.

The address is 1950 Wachesaw Rd, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Here is a Google map link for the landing. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Wacca+Wache+Marina/@33.5625905,-79.0858209,17z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x8900393f1e196df3:0x4d506ffeb48ee23f!8m2!3d33.5625905!4d-79.0858209!16s%2Fg%2F1v6wq5hc?entry=ttu

This paddle is a fun 14.6 miles paddle going through multiple creeks, with a great lunch/rest stop in the middle of the paddle.

It actually starts at Sandy Island Landing. I am showing it as part of the Wacca Wache Marina page, because Wacca Wache Marina is the food stop for this paddle and it goes through the creeks in front of the marina.

It starts at Sandy Island and goes up the Waccamaw River. When the paddlers come out of the Sandy Island channel, they crossed over to the other side of the river and went upriver.

They pass Sandhole creek along the way. There is another paddle mentioned that explores Sandhole Creek on this page, in another post..

They continue upriver and bypasses the opening of Black Creek, which they will come down later. The paddlers go a little further into a waterway the cuts back over to the middle of Black Creek. Once they hit Black Creek they turn up Black Creek towards White Creek.

The paddlers go all the way up White Creek until they hit Waccamaw River. If you wanted to cut 1 1/2 miles of your paddle or if you are hungry, this is a good place to turn downriver to Wacca Wache Marine to enjoy a good meal.

Here the paddlers turn left into Vaux Creek to circle around Vaux Island. Once they finish the circle they headed to the Wacca Wache Marina.

Here is a link to the restaurant. https://waccawachemarina.com/walters-on-the-waterway/

When the paddlers left Wacca Wache Marina, they crossover over the top of Richmond Island to Cow House Creek and head down the creek and look for 4 x 4 wooden post to watch for on the right hand side that marks the entrance to the cut through (a picture of the post is shown below), that cuts Laurel Hill Island in half, and it will take you back over to White Creek. This waterway is not seen on google maps, so not some people do not know about it. When arriving at White Creek, turn left to go down the creek to Black Creek. After exiting Black Creek, the paddlers then head back to Sandy Island landing.

A 2nd trail has been added here because it was done in the same vicinity as the first paddle and paddler and decide if they want to mix the 2 paddles together or modify both them into a different trail.

The 2nd trail is another exploratory adventure where the trail explored a couple creeks and some of the Waccamaw River extensions near the Wacca Wache Marina as shown by the first map.

The paddle starts down Cow House Creek. The picture of the post is where a paddler can cut across via a channel to the middle of White Creek. This paddle continues down Cow House Creek back to the Waccamaw River.

It then turns right up an extension of the Waccamaw River, then makes a right to explore and extension. It then turns around and turns right to continue down the original Waccamaw River Extension.

Then it turns right up Black Creek towards White Creek. Just before White Creek it turns left until the end of Black Creek. Just before getting to the end of Black Creek, a log was seen just floating. It turn out to be a gator. Usually, i see what I thought was a gator and it turns out to be floating log. This gator was so large and not moving in the middle of the creek. I thought it was a log until a started to close to it and it sunk down under water. Logs don't do this!

The trail turns around and heads back to Wacca Wache Marina. When the main body of the Waccamaw River is reached, it continues upriver to Wacca Wache Marina and stays to the right of the Richmond Island.

Just before the Wacca Wache Marina, it turns up another small extension where some deer were seen. The rail then ends back at the Wacca Wache Marina.

Because the paddle was started about an hour before low tide and finished about an hour after low tide. The creeks were not explored as far as they could. If the paddle was done near hide tide., the paddler could have gone a lot further.

Unlike exploring where there are a lot of obstacles, like down trees and branches. This paddle did not any of those type of obstacles. Just grounding out because of low tide.

This paddle does not start at Wacca Wache Marina, but it passes by and you can use this trail from Wacca Wache Marina. If you use AllTrails to navigate you paddle, you will connect to it quickly.

This paddle goes all the way to Georgetown. It passes Sandy Island Landing and Hagley Landing along the way.

Sandy Island Landing is about 5 miles from Wacca Wache Marina. You can loop back for a 10 mile paddle. I suggest you check the tides before you leave.

Hagley Landing is about 11 miles from Wacca Wache Marina. I suggest you check the tides before you leave. Another map has been added which shows the trail from Wacca Wache Marina to Hagley Landing. It is 11.2 miles long.

Use this link if you want to shuttle your vehicles from Wacca Wache Marina to Hagley Landing. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Wacca+Wache+Marina,+Wachesaw+Road,+Murrells+Inlet,+SC/Hagley+Landing,+Hagley+Drive,+Pawleys+Island,+SC/@33.4956435,-79.2800824,11z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x8900393f1e196df3:0x4d506ffeb48ee23f!2m2!1d-79.0858209!2d33.5625905!1m5!1m1!1s0x89003196206bb507:0x7de7d6fe6d2727ca!2m2!1d-79.1820525!2d33.436307!3e0?entry=ttu

East Bay Public Ramp is about 20 miles from Wacca Wache Marina. I suggest you check the tides and the wind before you leave. The wind can cause white caps along the way. When you see the Georgetown bridge, it may seem like you are close, but you still have about 5 miles to get to the bridge.

This trip leaves from Wacca Wache landing and loops around the Laurel Hill Island. This landing also has access to multiple waterways.

This trail is 6 miles long and takes about 2 hours to do it. You can see that there are other tributaries that you can take to expand you trip.

There are 2 maps shown of the same paddle. One shows the creeks that are paddled. The map show the mileage along the way.

This post shows 3 versions of paddling Collins Creek.

The first map shows a 3 hour paddle for 12 miles that went upriver from the Wacca Wache Marina up an extension of the Waccamaw River to the Collin Creek. There were some gators seen along the way. But it was fun seeing some deer at the end of the right split of the extension.

After hitting shallow water, we turned around and went up the left side of the extension split, which lead to Collins Creek. We made it just short of Hwy 707. I am sure when the water level is at it's normal level, you will be able to make it pass Hwy 707.

We came back down the extension, then went up the Waccamaw River to explore the National Wildlife Refuge.

Another trail has been added that is 12.5 miles long. The paddle starts upriver to Prince Creek. Just after reaching Prince Creek, it turns left up Fisherman Creek. It goes to the end and turns back down. Once Prince Creek is reached, the paddle continues back up Prince Creek until the Waccamaw River is reached. The paddle then goes back downriver to the Wacca Wache Marina.

This paddle goes from Wacca Wache Marina to Port Harrelson landing via Bull Creek and almost to the Great P*e Dee river and back.

This paddle is 24.7 miles long and 12 gators were seen during the paddle. We saw some gators both ways.
