Honoring the past, present, and future in my chaps outfit. University of Idaho logo for my heritage as a 5th-generation graduate. Daisies and family brands for the Kerby family’s agricultural roots. Veterinary symbol for my future as a large animal vet.What makes this outfit even more special is that my great-grandmother painted the design on my chaps. Her artistic talent and love for western culture are beautifully captured in every detail, and it’s an honor to carry her legacy into the arena.The shirt, made by my mom, ties it all together—this outfit is my story in the making. #MissRodeoAmerica #IdahoPride

Making our debut on the Miss Rodeo America stage!

Idaho innovation meets Wrangler tradition. My decorated outfit celebrates the University of Idaho and our state’s contributions to the world: Frozen French fries for J.R. Simplot, The first cloned equine, Idaho Gem, Pea vines, potato flowers, and a cow with a blue tongue for U of I’s ag research and so much more! This Wrangler look is a tribute to the creativity and agriculture that make Idaho unique. Thank you, D&S Designs, for the perfect earrings to complete the look!

Miss Rodeo Idaho Ashley Kerby (’22, AVS: Pre-Vet) will model a denim, button-up shirt she embroidered showcasing reasons why she’s proud to be a Vandal alumna when she competes at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant beginning Dec. 1 in Las Vegas. For the past year, Ashley has worked full time visiting elementary schools, corporate sponsors, community events and rodeos throughout the country to promote the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. At every opportunity during her travels as rodeo royalty, she has also made a point of touting the accomplishments of her alma mater and .

“I’m a fifth-generation graduate. I have a long line of Vandals in my family, and I wanted to follow in their footsteps and continue the legacy and go to University of Idaho,” she said.
